Very strange tweet from Acworth the other day-

    jacworth jonathan acworth
love to see campbell ryce not getting a game at man city i reckon he could come back

He also thinks the board are after Bougherra
  • Campbell-Ryce signed for man city?

Only a takeaway ...... they thought they were buying Egg Fried Rice

Acworth gives the impression he doesn't know the difference.
  • hmm bristol city!!!
  • Alan Shearer is heading to London to hold talks with Charlton Athletic. The Charlton board are not keen on keeping Chris Powell past this season and want Shearer to become their manager. Shearer feels he has the resources to take 'The Addicks' up a division then maybe in a few years, take them back to the Premier League. Shearer will sign a two year deal with an option of two further years.
  • Possibly the best yet
  • Shearer! Id rather stick him on the pitch than in the dugout
  • Jon Fortune would be pleased!
  • Shearer quote from yesterday, he has had interviews...

The Jiminez connection? Both at Newcastle together.

Oh, I almost forgot ........ it's only a rumour on a micky mouse website.

Its one of those rumours which is mostly like bollocks but can see it being plausable. That would show there is some serious wealth behind the board.
  • Friends wife works in an estate agents in Chislehurst. They've been looking for a large secluded family house to rent for an unnamed but "well known" person.

That's because Sven Goran Eriksen is joing the club in the summer .......... as Powell's assistant manager.

Alex Dyer will run the new reserve team, as he was highly rated previously in charge of West Ham's second string.
  • We have one currently underachieving legend at the club do we really need another in Shearer ? Probably just a daft rumour.

These are the comments from the mail article. They made me laugh.

Great news - the sooner he leaves the Match Of The Day team the better !!!!

Sorry ! Shearer could'nt manage a fish supper - stick to punditry Alan , with criminally high pay and a script of 5 sentences - with no responsibility or accountability . You can waffle as much as you like with Burley and the rest and the world will take absolutely no notice whatsoever , it's a no brainer .

-After recently signing for Charlton, Bradley Wright-Phillips is on the move again. The ex Man City forward is keen to hold talks with Ipswich Town. Surprisingly, Rochdale are also in the hunt to try and sign the striker.

Pretty sure that was a rumour last summer too.
  • Charlton will get many offers for bwp and will only sell at the right price 1million or above as the club is now stable and looking to go forward, ins: cody mcdonald, andy reid wants to regain first team football and fitness and wants to do it at charlton. OUTS racon looking to go back to france and we are hoping he drops mcormack off at Eastbourne were he can play for the u7 jonnie jackson will be tempted to a move to norwich with a price of 500,000 to 750,000 on the cards . . and Chris powell will step down as manerger, reid may step in his place but will all unfold at the last game
  • Bradley wright-phillips from charlton, already in advanced talks with ipswich.
  • Charlton Striker Bradley Wright-Philips is a target for Reading. Other likely departures from The Valley are, Therry Racon (Panionios) Alan McCormack (Southend job centre) and a number of other out of contract players.

Charlton Chiefs are also considering the position of "Manager" (Ha ha what a joke) Chris Powell.
  • Ackworth?
  • Why would Shearer quit his cushy little job? I mean it's a good storyline and he gets to do intimate close scenes with both Samia Smith and Alison King, which must be much more fun than trying to run a tinpot little football club!
  • curbs back with powelly number 2 learing the ropes dyer first team coach.. you know it makes sense son.
