  • I heard from a West Ham fan (who sits in the Director's Box) that BWP is a target for West Ham.   Don't shoot the messenger as it's not the same person who has given me the other Charlton gossip ....
I also heard the same thing yesterday and I was in the North Stand

Charlton Athletic are set to offer a trial to ex-centre back Richard Rufus who has had treatment over the last few years on his niggling injuries and at 33 is hoping close friend Chris Powell will offer him a short-term contract

but I thought he was 36

  • Bostock and Simeon Jackson would be great

  • We need a right back.
  • The same Simeon Jackson who started for Norwich in the Prem at the w/e...I think you can forget that!

  • Osborne would be a good signing. Rufus-esque and can also play right back so good cover for Solly.
out of contract in summer but a lower fee than we would have paid last summer should do it.
Anyone know why he hasn't played much for Brentford this season?

He's had a foot injury that's kept him out recently.

I think he had another injury (might have been his back) earlier on in the season, too.
  • Said on the radio today that Bostock may be heading out to the MLS

  • Not from FR but still a good source

"We won't be anywhere near as busy in the January transfer window as we
were during the summer, but the recruitment team is still making plans.
No matter how well things are going, everybody behind the scenes is
working on the basis that improvements can always be made."

  • Matt Richards ?
  • Matt Richards ?
    Shrewsbury i think
  • Left back originally, now more leftside midfield.

Unless it's the return of the Matt Ritchie rumour?

  • Don't need a left back - we already have Wiggins & Evina
  • Don't need a left back - we already have Wiggins & Evina

That's what makes me think it's Matt Ritchie, a left winger, rather than Matt Richards - also the fact that Hogan Ephraim has returned to QPR.  This is probably 2+2=500 though!

  • The Sam Saunders rumour above to Colchester is rubbish he's staying at brentford or going mk dons
