Thought Dawson was outstanding when we played Orient a couple of years ago but don't rush in on that basis Chris, as it could have been a one off and even i need more than 90 minutes to be 100% sure.

In honesty - he was Leicester's golden boy in the summer and I think BCFC turned down something like £6m for him. If we were to go for him it would mean our Mysterons are absolutely minted.
I doubt very much if there will be one marquee signing let alone two. I expect to see one good signing along the same lines as in pre season and then a couple of additional fringe players. Nett outlay? Probably between £0.5 and £1m
Read a report yesterday that Leicester were going to offer £3m PLUS Beckford for Maynard. I'd be very happy with Schlupp at this stage from what I saw of him in some of their cup games.
I thought he'd go to Everton in the summer but I imagine that's off if they're inviting bids now. Leicester haven't paid over the odds for a player in a few months now so I imagine they're the obvious choice
Shame about Maynard, had seen his contract was expiring in the summer and harboured hopes we would snap him up in the summer when we were promoted from this division...would have had half a chance then but not in Jan!
