[cite]Posted By: golfaddick[/cite]Best tell Dicko, Fleets & Izzy to update their CV's & post out to all the other 91 league clubs - going to need another job come the new year.
Pardew's man management skills are worse thans Curbs - bet both must have read the book " how to p**s off my team in one easy lesson"
So by that logic we mustn't sign any players, on loan or otherwise, as it will piss off the current players which equates to poor man management.
Poor little things on their tiny wages. Don't want any nasty competition for places. Don't play Shelvey as it will upset Holland and Bailey. Don't give Elliot a go as it will upset Weaver. Amazing man management!!!
Why another bloody striker, who will do no better than are current lot as we do not have a midfield tht can control the game and deliver good passes or crosses to the stikers in the box. This is Pardew at his most galling, we all know that we need good defenders and a quality midfield player. On Saturday it was not a lack of goals that cost us but an inability to defend and hold onto a lead, sounds like the Plymouth game and numerous others this season and last.
[cite]Posted By: BDL[/cite]Wonder what the Hull City fans said when Frazier Campbell signed on loan last season?
(Ducks for cover as the bullets fly towards him)
fair point but I'd think most people would have heard of Campbell plus he'd come from Man Utd with great strikers like Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez etc ahead of him. At Sunderland, who are in the bottom three by the way and whom you'd have thought might need an in form striker to get them out of trouble, he's got only the injury plagued Jones and Cisse ahead of him.

Ah, so if Waghorn had come from Man U it would be ok to loan him?
I hadn't heard of Campbell till he torn us a new one at the Valley,

the question is though why loan out Fleetwood just to bring an 18 yr old rookie loanee in. Why let Dickson go on loan to the Gills, score a dozen goals, then never give him a go. Why play Izzy for an hour and then we don't see him again. I know that it'll be said that Dickson has a knock, Pards doesn't fancy him anyway, Izzy needs to get fit, Fleetwood isn't the answer etc etc. However, Pardew has brought all three in and by now rejecting them without a decent run in the side he's now saying he got it wrong and in his opionion an 18 yr old with no league experience can do better. If his judgement has been wrong on three previous occasion was should we think he has got it right now. I'd rather see Dickson or Fleetwood in, told that they are in for six to eight games and see how they do. They can't do worse that Varns and he's had double that amount of games.
I'm very happy to give the lad a chance but we really do not need any more players sent to the Valley "to get themselves fit". That really does revive unhappy memories of Lee Cook...
I'm also a little surprised by the signing in that I see he has never scored a league goal ... He has presumably got a few in the reserves and he scored a hat-trick in a youth cup game. But that's the hightest level he's succeeded at. It will certainly be interesting to see if he looks better than Dickson, who was banging in league goals last season, even if it was only for the Gils.

well, I'd think that most football fans would of done.

if he were that good wouldn't he have gone out on loan and banged in a dozen for Hartlepool or Darlington or someone like Dicko did ?
If Waghorn is injured then I'm not happy and it does smack of Cook. Maybe the one month is to see if he is fit and then we can send him back. Obviously teams lend players to get them more matches (as we do) but no good to us if he is crock.
He is a good young player. Lets not doubt that, and lets hope he can provide a catalyst.
Very Rooney-esque on the 90 mins i saw in the U18s game at the Valley last year. I'm also pretty sure Pards has brought him in on account of that one appearance.
However, and there always seems to be one with me at the moment, we are in the situation where we need to bring in players who will instantly improve our side. Who does he replace ? Gray scored a good goal on Sat, and plays the target man so can't see it being him. Toddy / Varney are competing for the other role, depending on the type of game, so does he replace them ?
Does this mean Dickson has no future as a 4th choice striker ? If so we should get shot as soon as possible, what is the point of having players on the books the manager isn't going to play ?
And with such a limited budget this summer, what was the point wasting some of it on another non-leaguer that isn't going to get a chance when those above the pecking order are mis-firing ?
I'll give him the chance, but I thought Pardew wanted experience, leadership, a bit more 'grit' etc, not a promising young player.
Still think we aren't good at creating chances, could do with more quality in midfield, though Varney and Gray don't finish off the ones we do create.
Will he actually start? Or will Pardew bring him on and start him if he can make an impact in 10-20 minutes? Because that's the feeling I get with a signing like this.

all good points, very well put as usual. Seems though that Dicko may be out a while but that still doesn't explain not recalling Fleets.
I was really looking forward to seeing Fleetwood, but couldn't believe the guy at Ebbsfleet was him. . . . just couldn't see his style of player ever succeeding in the championship.
Pardew was always taking a flyer on him (as you do with any non-leaguer) but after scouting him for apparently such a long time. . . he's very similar to Steve Portway (remember him! The next Pele!)
Dickson is never going to be given a chance now, Pardew if anything will try and justify his brilliant outlay on McLeod.
We could've got shot of Pardew and got a new manager with McLeod's fee. . . . .

I want Pardew out more than most on here but I fail to see what people expect him to bring in on loan in November. . . . we haven't got a pot and are down the bottom. Hardly an attractive proposition!
Bottom line, I rather have my 8 year old trying hard, then bloody Darren Ambrose. . . .

I wonder who's next on Pards list?
I mentioned that eariler, but hey better to fire off about how Pards is a **** instead
We don't need to be spending money we haven't got on crocks.

IT'S NOT ABOUT WHERE HE COMES FROM IT'S ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE NEEDED AND THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE ...

Probably the same what you said when we signed Craine and Halford
if he were that good wouldn't he have gone out on loan and banged in a dozen for Hartlepool or Darlington or someone like Dicko did ?

Dicko was in Germany seeing a knee specialist and will not be playing for a while, I have this on quite good authority
fair enough. So recall Fleetwood then.
Is there anything in the FA rules that says you can't loan a loanee to someone else ???
No it's the way FL clubs can loan outside the transfer window from the Premier League

is this supposed to placate the charlton faithful and keep us happy ?

Plus my boy could do a job at right back.
