  • I have never used and have no idea how to use snapchat, but any adult who uses one of those 'filter' things.

It might be acceptable if you're taking a photo with your children but to take a photo with dog ears or cat whiskers by yourself is weird, but then to post it on social media is just baffling.

    You look like a twat.

But it's great banter to do this when I'm waiting for my cheeky Nandos!
  • People who take up 2 spaces in a parking bay, f ing unts!

Should be charged for two spaces if they've only paid for the one ticket!!
    unless its a disabled bay

If they've parked across two disabled spaces and aren't disabled, they need knee capping.

If they've parked across two disabled spaces and are disabled, they need to be asked how they'd feel if they couldn't get a space as another disabled person had parked across 2 spaces.
  • Misusing the word cheeky.

There was some twunt in the hotel bar last night after the football finished was whistling, out of tune by the way, the fucking theme tune of the program showing the footy on ITV. Very annoying.
  • Shit football banter on my twitter feed again. Today it's as many Deli Alli gifs and videos as possible. Fucking annoying
  • People defending black cabs. This isn't socialism. It's a free market.

I just got charged £20 to travel from Orpington Station to Chislehurst Station. It's a 4 mile journey. If I'd ordered an Uber, it would have charged me £6 and i'd have been sat in an E-Class.

I only got the black cab because it was sitting there. If I'd have known it would have cost me £5 a mile, I wouldn't have got it. At this price, a full tank in my car is worth £2,500.

I like black cabs and what they represent, historically and culturally. They are very much an icon for London.

However that is the world. They must adapt or will fail.

I also like their presence on the roads of London, but they are worse than Uber cars in every single way:

They cost over 2x as much
    The vehicles are old
They rarely take card in a cashless world
They don't rely on mobile phones so cannot account for traffic
If they take you on an unreasonable route, it's their word against yours and there is no comeback

  • Plus point though, is her teacher is a worldie.

My daughters' new teacher's pretty fit too. Make you right on the parents making it worse though. You just need to drop them, go and not make a fuss.
  • School parents.

Just dropped my little girl off for her first day of primary school and the emotional wrecks there was embarrasing. 99% of the kids, including mine, were just standing there waiting to go in, not a care in the world. Then 50% of the parents were either crying or faffing about making a scene.

I'm glad I'm not on FB anymore as I hear it is infiltrated with ott comments about all this.

Yes, as you say I can imagine it can be an emotional/proud day what have you, but I know so many people that still use it as a look at me opportunity.

Maybe a photo is fine etc, but the guff about never ending love etc is unnecessary surely

I ticked Crawley off the 92 list last week, there was no fanfare from me about

"Oh another new ground, I'm so proud of my record and how I've seen all but one of 82 grounds with Charlton playing there etc"

  • Cyclist who go through red lights and zebra crossings as you're crossing whilst all the other traffic, including other, decent ,cyclists have had the courtesy to stop in line with the highway code and common decency.

They always seem to be the kind of subhuman felchers who appear to want to give off the air of being important, go-getter types who don't have time to play by the man's rulebook but in reality are inadequate underachievers in every facet of their impotent existence and the sort of creeps who'll have a furtive stroll around the carriage sniffing seats after the train terminates at Charing Cross and everyone else has got off and therefore to get some form of redemption for their wavering self esteem by hurling past pedestrians whilst dressed as lycra- clad dildos.

Yeah those people get right on my tits.

Every so often you'll see that happen and the offending Cyclist is quickly pulled over by a Policeman who happens to be standing there - Really is a beautiful sight to make you smile especially if your about to get the train home!!

Really should have put that in "General Things that Please You"
There was a brief period up and down old street at the start of summer where there was actually a police bicycle patrol. The look of indignation on most of the pulled over cyclists' faces as they were handed their ticket was incredible and ruined what should have been a joyful moment for me.

So close to the general things that please you thread, yet so far.
  • getting your car back from its annual service to find the digital clock is 6 mins slow, the radio settings are all back to factory settings so the balance is all wrong, too much bass & coming out of the driver's speaker too much so its sounds as if its mono & not stereo.

I had a courtesy pick-up & drop off so I didn't notice it until this morning - also had to re-adjust the drivers seat settings as the bloke who drove it must have been over 6ft tall or a giraffe.

then thy called me to see if I was happy & would I recommend them........I think the poor lady on the phone got the message !!

  • Recruiters that don't get back to you, or at least advise you that it's their policy that if you haven't heard in 2 weeks, you're likely unsuccessful.

  • How conniving some companies are:

Our previous house insurance provider had a mechanism )for our convenience of course...) that meant our insurance would automatically renew. How nice. Cue a price increase each year and nothing like in line with inflation - I think it probably correlates with how much money the MD might need for his next luxury car and holiday. So after being caught a few years on the trot we decided to shop elsewhere and have saved a bundle; in fact their renewal letter said something along the lines of 'you've been with us a number of years, you're likely to get a better price elsewhere'. So the direct debit to that insurer was cancelled and new insurance cover arranged somewhere else.
After some letters and an e-mail from the old insurer saying that as they have been unable to take payment they will cancel the policy (good - we never f.ucking asked you to renew it!), they are now saying that we will incur a £35 cancellation fee! F.uckers. They have already ignored my e-mail reply saying that we have shopped elsewhere. I actually want to do this bloke in charge some harm.

Can they get away with this? Bonkers if so.
  • Don't think so if you have cancelled before the start of the policy.

If you cancelled after the policy auto-renewed you are probably stuffed.

Looks like my carefree attitude to it hasn't done me any favours then. Even though it wasn't me that renewed it.
  • I would nt pay it @Plumstead_Micky . These cnts just try it on and try and wear you down , fck em .

In previous years if we didn't send some particular form back to them within two weeks there was another charge! I'm sure they used to post the letter about three days before the deadline.
