Cyclist (again) - Now I understand the pros and cons of cycling. I live near Wrotham and Brough Green, and as soon as the weather is nice, out they come, not one or two, but groups of 5/10/15 all in the same kit, riding 2 -3 abreast (yes I know 2 abreast is allowed, but the reality is, its dangerous) they just cause aggravation, they get in the way, are just bloody everywhere. The local area is hilly and they all have to ride up the A227 towards Vigo at 3MPH, its a tight road and no bugger can get past, everyday there are lycra donned fat buggers looking like exploded sausages with heads like tomatoes, wobbling around, looking for somewhere to have an accident. Do us a favour, if you have to cycle, go to Holland they like it there.4

Yes true, but the level of no-it-alls on there and the reams and reams of content they are capable of writing in any one post, on one subject is astronomical, a plus is that while they are on the computer they aren't eating chocolates on a park bench. ;o)i_b_b_o_r_g said:

They kidnap cyclists, ferment the blood and drink it in hidden caves, once you find out though where and when you are one of them

In a nice restaurant, attentive staff greeting and escorting you to your table, bringing the food, taking and then serving the wine order, clearing away - all over you. Brilliant. Then when you want the bill, the waiters have all disappeared or have had special training in avoiding eye contact. You're full, tired, you want to get up and move. Eventually you drag someone over and ask for the bill. After what seems like half an hour someone brings the bill, sticks it on the table and buggers off sharpish. Takes another half hour for someone else to come and take your payment.
It isn't hard ffs. I want fast efficient service when i'm done, not just when I've just arrived. It's like they are bonused on how long they can keep you sitting there, fuming, when you've finished.5 -

I now only go to restaurants that do a set menu, that way with me and the wife drinking tap water I'm able to give them the money on the way in.

Mate, Jersey's a great place. Admittedly there's no strip clubs (I checked) but spent a lot if time out there with work and there's plenty of great bars and restaurants. Try the club in the Royal Yacht Club hotel or the Wild Fire for a fantastic steak.nth london addick said:Jersey Fucking Jersey

Simpletons.
Chucked our old bed on Gumtree, including the exact phrase "Dismantled as much as possible, buyer needs to collect".
Get an email asking "Will it fit in a Clio?"
Probably not, the sides are 2m long.
"Oh, OK, well my sister's got a Corsa?"
Why don't you try measuring the car?
"I'm sure it'll be fine! I'll ask my sister."
Next day:
"Just checking with my sister before we drive over...
...She says does it come apart?"
Yes, but the sides are still 2m long.
"We might measure it."
Good idea.
"It won't fit."
Oh no! Who would've guessed?

People who don't understand what 'the best part of' means, or the fact that my car does not teleport across the motorway (i.e. even if I am being held up, I am still travelling forward, just at 55-60mph instead of 70...).MrOneLung said:

*a quick back of an envelope calculation, a car with an average speed of 70mph will cover roughly the same distance in 4 hours as a car doing 55mph will in 5 hours, since this was the amount of motorway driving I did today I was actually pretty accurate!0 -
