[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]No you haven't CE, you've just stuck a lazy argument up. Think I've pretty much said I would go to Wembley for the Straw man final
I actually agree that it was a disgrace etc, but for the record as a Charlton supporter I will be supporting us at MK Dons. However, each to their own and good luck to you.I'm certainly not suggesting you're wrong.
Still can't quite get my head around why you would give MK Dons money if we play them at Wembley but not if we play them in MK? They may earn more at Wembley than they would in a home league game?

"I would probably boycott a home cup game against them, as they would receive some of the gate money.
I wish that club and it's supporters all the worse, if they go bust I'll celebrate it. We should never ever be involved with them unless we have to.
And why can't we send a Charlton XI to Kingsmeadow for a friendly? "
So you would probably boycott a home cup game against them as they would receive some of the gate money, but you wouldn't boycott a Wembley game even though they would receive some of the gate money.
Therefore your principles are higher than mine, but you haven't quite thought this through. Because you originally argued that it was about not giving them money.Although, you now will if it's a big enough game for you?
Probably also includes what the weather was like on the day, but I'll probably go to the home game and miss a second leg/replay. So if it's in late August in the JPT at the Valley I'll be there, at Stadium MK, then not.
The difference also includes other spend, such as food, drink, programmes, and general putting money into the local economy.
Good debate. As I said previously I'm not trying to wind you or anyone else up.I think the MK move was a total disgrace and shouldn't have been allowed. But as it has happened I will go there when we play them in the same way I go to Palace away when others might say "I'm not giving Jordan any of my money".
the irony is that if we are pushing for promotion next season and we are playing MK Dons towards the end of the season, despite the principled no shows, we will take more fans to Dons stadium than we have done since the premiership. "Men of principle are few" and no where is this more true than in the worldof footballin this country.

I think generally the CAFC supporters of high principle are somewhat confused as to what their principles are. They are confusing not going to MK with not giving MK any of their money.
But when push comes to shove the majority would "give" MK money if the game was important enough for them not to miss out eg a Wembley play off final and I wouldn't blame them.
Same may apply if we're away to MK last game of the season and we need a point for promotion. I'd certainly not miss us winning promotion on principle, but fair play to anyone that would.
I really cannot believe anybody gives a toss these days! The book of principles and decencey in life, let alone sport was torn up and burnt years ago.
Wimbledon/MK Dons/AFC Wimbledon or Man Utd/Glazers Debt Utd whatever, I couldn't give a hoot.

I have not offered any opinion personally. I may be 100% against ever seeing MK Dons Playing anywhere.
My question was to ascertain how strongly certain CAFC supporters felt about this.
So I ask again, would you go to a Wembley Play Off Final or not ?
