Finished the lowest position in our history, and sell our three top players.
It's laughable really that anybody can still take GFP seriously.9 -
Bit of aftertiming but I never fancied Jones, just something about him.PaddyP17 said:This is absolutely disgraceful if true. Any grace period I was to afford Jones and the SMT at the start of the season will evaporate if Alfie is sold. Fucking hell.
Is he a guy that likes all the attention and May was getting too much of it for his liking?
All the time you have a proven goalscorer on the pitch you have a good chance of scoring but subbing on 60 minute mark the last few games was ridiculous.

I feel really daft, after realising he's called Alfie rather than Ben.FAVADDICK said:How stupid do people feel now 🫣

Why can't we just be fucking normal for a bit.... Offload our 2 best players from last season on a free & £750k Jesus Christ!18

To be fair Pete O’Rourke is about the only national journo I believe when it comes to EFL transfers. If he’s put it out there it’s because someone credible told him something.FAVADDICK said:How stupid do people feel now 🫣
If it’s a choice between Pete and Rich though, I tend to believe Rich first.12 -
Decision has the whiff of Andy Scott to me.ateamofcorygibbs said:
Assuming it is a decision by Jones...YTS1978 said:If this is true that's a massive decision by Jones and takes king Kong sized balls to make. I really don't know what to make of all this tbh, but we better hit the ground running otherwise the locals will be restless (once again).7 -
750k plus how much of a percentage do Cheltenham get? 20%?. So really only 600k to us1
-
Well, he said so the other day, so unless he was telling porkies it's 100% up to him.ateamofcorygibbs said:

Honestly now, this forum is full of adults....players come and go!
There is nothing that can be done and you might not like it but you have to get on with it.
We have to see what the club up there sleeve. It might surprise us.
Either way, I am sure NJ has a plan and for now, that's good enough for me.

Oh wouldn't this be a wheeze if it turns out to be a wind up...how we would all laugh...🤦♂️3

Regardless of whether it's agreed or not, they are still clearly trying to sell him, which is a disgrace in itself.4

Well, Huddersfield are trying to buy him that's for sure...DDOUBLEE said:Regardless of whether it's agreed or not, they are still clearly trying to sell him, which is a disgrace in itself.1 -
People are upset that their favourite player is heading out the door and I understand that. We’ve all experience it, quite often, as Charlton fans.king addick said:Honestly now, this forum is full of adults....players come and go!

I personally struggle to feel any heart break over losing any League One player. The last player I was truly gutted about leaving was Joe Aribo because I knew he was going to be a Premier League player at some point.1 -
Looks like I wont be attending any more games then

Kin hell... Dont give them any more excuses to sell him!!golfaddick said:Looks like I wont be attending any more games then

Chin up, I promise you will be able to deal with it as you grow up, although it still hurts a bit.5 -

The fee will be higher than 750,000 plus it will also be undisclosed …5 -
Most likey Huddersfield will pay the money owed to Cheltenham as part of the deal which will push it over 1 mill mark3
-
Jones is on record saying no one is forcing anything on him, including the sale of players.thetomahawkkid said:

What they say and what actually happens may not be the same thing! Do we believe a word the SMT say?RonnieMoore said:

The Udders are now revolting (in more ways than one) against Cawley after his tweet about no fee agreed, they just want him to fu*k off, and say he is just towing the club line...😂7

Does Rich work for the club? lol!eastterrace6168 said:The Udders are now revolting (in more ways than one) against Cawley after his tweet about no fee agreed, they just want him to fu*k off, and say he is just towing the club line...😂
