Which is just bizarre if you think of the amount of jobs/clubs he's had.Callumcafc said:
It’s not. Appleton has stuck rigidly to 4-3-3 for his entire coaching career.Bailey said:
Maybe that is Appleton's preferred formation but couldn't play it with the squad he's inherited, Doucher will be pleased if that's the case.FishCostaFortune said:
Or we are going 3-5-2.Scoham said:
Barely played this season for them so assume he’s well down their pecking order. Here he’s immediate competition as a minimum for our Jones, Hector and Edun.jbaker said:Surely can’t be dropping down a league to sit on the bench. Who is he replacing in starting 11?
At some point you'll have injuries and have to change formation. Or so you'd think.......!

No Stephen Humphrys in the Wigan squad today either.Callumcafc said:Clarke Harris has been left out of Peterborough’s match day squad today.
Wasn't Alfie May out today with a minor injury as well? :-)1 -
Left footed CB to pair with Jones, you’d have to think. Or competition for Edun who has been less than impressive the last few weeks.8

And therein lies the problem. Depending on who is available you have to adapt. During a game you have to adapt. He has a Plan A and that's it. Needed to try something different today, maybe CBT up alongside Kanu. Bringing on Casey up top on his own certainly wasn't the answer for all number of reasons.Callumcafc said:

Luton have recalled striker Joe Taylor from Colchester because they're sending him to a League 1 club , 12 in 25 in a very struggling Colchester side .
Don't think it will be us if they're considering recalling Louie Watson for not playing enough unless it's a loan swap type thing?9 -

that’s why I said often. no interest in May reported but interest both JCH and Humphrys has, makes a big differenceFortune 82nd Minute said:fenaddick said:

Don't spend any money you mugs, use the dosh to pay off Appleton. Then concentrate on our relegation battle by putting Pearce in charge.
With him we might have a chance of staying up.4 -

So who paid loan fee for Camara .. plus increase in wage budget which meant we went over FFP …CapeTownAddick said:
True, there was the fee for May although that was rumoured to be paid from sponsorship money. We've seen nothing from the new owners that suggests they are serious about investing in quality players to get us out of this league. Add a new manager to that list too.Scoham said:
Apart from the fees we spent last summer you mean?CapeTownAddick said:We are not paying transfer fees so forget about JCH. Loans and freebies are the strategy. Leak a few names we are interested in to make it seem like we mean business and then sign shite on the last day of the window. And then repeat every transfer window.1 -

And paid 400,000 to allow Kirk to leave …RonnieMoore said:

Not surprised re Watson, Luton cant be too happy with his lack of playing timefenaddick said:No Tedic on the bench so guessing he’s gone and Cawley saying Luton are considering recalling Watson too
your source isn't going to be popular when the squad find out!!! Mr Hector will be giving him an off the ball whack in training.
and how is hector going to give him a whack?                          0 -

A complete moron given his injury record I guess.
He played 34, 50, 34, 48 and 46 games respectively in the 5 season he played since signing for Crawley and going to Ipswich.
Last season was his first injury hit season, and that was only due to one injury.0 -
