Summer Transfer Rumours - Deadline Day p446

It’s been a poor transfer window and start to the campaign. But I’ve never really thought we’d be relegation battlers.
That changes though if they sell our only real pace and attacking threat in CBT, on deadline day, when they’ve not signed anyone for bloody weeks and sacked the manager.3 -

Are they the only other footballers? Shit, I didn’t realise it was such a small pool.sam3110 said:
Like the crocked Sessegnon or Dabo? Or re-sign Clare? Or maybe bring back Todd Kane?golfaddick said:
You do what 91 other league teams do & sign someone else.Callumcafc said:
Sounds like we’ve been after him for six weeks and he’s been holding out on us. Not sure what more can be done in situations like that.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Another player who needs to build up match fitness before he’s anywhere near enough to start. When will this recruitment method end?5 -
Quite simply, by tomorrow morning we will know whether we are in for at least another couple of years of league 1 tedium or actually have something to get excited by - for the latter, their gonna need to have the deadline day window of their lives - a huge great shard like curtain wall in fact !!1

That ‘if’ Is really doing a lot of heavy lifting.DOUCHER said:if we got substantial money for CBT and reinvested it well today I’d be happy - he’s got something but personally I’m bored of seeing him absolutely murder a full back the whole game but somehow create virtually nothing3 -
To have any sort of expectations for today would be an epic triumph of hope over experience.1
-
With the distraction of finding a manager we could end up with our pants down - CBT goes last minute and we don’t have a back up to bid for or now Leaburn is fit training with the first team he goes as well and we have no attack (cafc circus) 🤦🏻♂️🎪2

I know he has been touted to clubs this past week.Callumcafc said:0 -

Would be a decent player if he could actually get the ball in the boxCallumcafc said:5 -

If we sell CBT today then it’s absolutely confirmed that the people running the club have no interest in winning games of football but just lining their pockets . That will be me finished44

I’ve been wondering why we haven’t announced the signings of this striker and right back who have supposedly been training with us for the past few days.
Now it makes sense that they want to soften the blow of losing Corey (& possibly 1 more?) by announcing them straight after.
Charlie pink pants, we’re not stupid so don’t treat us as such.4 -
If anyone offered 1.5 / 2 mill for himStrikerFirmani said:
Yea of course that would be great business just like it was when M. Gliksten pulled the same stunt regularly during his time running the club.DubaiCAFC said:
Hope not true, but if we was to get 1.5 - 2 mill, would be good business for us right?wmcf123 said:
Icing on the cake . Let’s let Dobbo and Leaburn go too and make it the best window everCallumcafc said:
Mugs game mate.
snap their hands off .. he so inconsistent so frustrating so many good positions but no end product .But it’s all rubbish because Warnock already said there no money at Huddersfield so will only be free transfers and out of contract players5 -

CBT out for 1.5 and Ladapo in for 1 is the only way to make it worthwhile.4

Of course you'd defend the decision to sell himRonnieMoore said:

I think you are correct. I'm hoping that any money brought in will be reinvested but that's all I have, a bit of hope! There is no evidence to suggest this will happen. Sunderland fans warned us!!!!!Bedsaddick said:If we sell CBT today then it’s absolutely confirmed that the people running the club have no interest in winning games of football but just lining their pockets . CBT, when fit and firing has been one of the only players to get fans on their feet since he signed. We were told by Tranmere fans of his many faults, but he was a rare success of late and I will be gutted if we sell him.24

Ridiculous comment .. they have been in the chair 2/3 weeks trying to sort a club out that basically been on its knees for last 8/10 years plus bringing in players in .. we stability we need the owners to have time and the new manager needs two more windows to get a squad that can hold its hands in the championship , taken Ipswich the same time to get where they are today so why do people think we should be able to do in 3 week’s ridiculous?? We need better players then CBT there a reason he in league one when you watch him to can quickly see why ..MuttleyCAFC said:
If CBT goes in this window given the current state of the squad that's me finished. Going to the Fleetwood game but that will be me done for as long as this mob are in charge.Braziliance said:If Corey goes I'll genuinely be fkn livid. That would be taking the absolute biscuit.

We do have a habit of finding a players’s weakness, exaggerating it, and deciding he’s surplus to requirements.DOUCHER said:if we got substantial money for CBT and reinvested it well today I’d be happy - he’s got something but personally I’m bored of seeing him absolutely murder a full back the whole game but somehow create virtually nothing14 -
Selling CBT when our record of wingers in for fees in recent years has been utterly abysmal would certainly be one way of upsetting the fanbase even more.5
-
But during those 8 to 10 years you said everything was going amazingly. 😉RonnieMoore said:

Yeah bring it on, let’s just sell the whole first team squad while we’re at it and play academy youngsters, that will work….MarcusH26 said:Selling CBT when our record of wingers in for fees in recent years has been utterly abysmal would certainly be one way of upsetting the fanbase even more.1 -

We don't even have a squad that can compete in league one yet.11 -
Well I’ll be straight back down the club shop if it does happen 🙄

Selling CBT on the last day of the transfer window with no time to replace our biggest attacking threat.
Genius.15 -
Selling CBT would be a big blow and will cause alot of anger at the new ownership.
So I fully expect it to happen7
