It's clear that the Fanackapans never do things by halves....
Watched World on Fire series 2, episode 1 on Sunday when it was aired, then the remaining 5 last night.
Won't be everyone's cup of tea but we found it enjoyable enough to keep us interested until 1am this morning.0 -

Currently enjoying watching Crime on ITV. Adaptation of an Irvine Welsh novel. Set in Edinburgh (sub titles could be useful at times
). Diverse team of off the wall detectives trying to track a serial killer.

Hooked on silo - loving the mystery so far, 6 EPs in2

Mayans MC finished this week, last ever episode and a very high body count
This series I kept getting the feeling the producers had pulled money from it but they did have some big set pieces. It was a good ending however I cant help but feel it seemed rushed.
If you enjoyed Sons of Anarchy which I recommend to anyone you will like Mayans, gives a different angle and the actors have a genuine depth0 -

Another 2 evenings dedicated to an American series at Fanackapan Towers.
Rabbit Hole - 8 episodes to take you on a thrilling journey, punctuated by unexpected twists & turns, with Kiefer Sutherland as the lead character. A tad complicated at times ( well, for me, anyway) but well worth sticking with.
May be available on other channels but we downloaded the series from Paramount Plus.1 -

1923 on paramount. Avoiding the 2 dodgy accents (by english actors) its very entertaining. Prequal to yellowstone but follows themes of the era really well.1

We've just had a free trial on Prime - not a fan usually as so much isn't free even after the subscription, but used it to catch up on Clarkson's Farm series 2.
I know he's not to everyone's taste, and bits of it are a bit one-sided and contrived, but its brilliant TV.

Apologies if this has been highlighted before - I've just been through the previous half a dozen pages and can't see it mentioned - but I finished The Bear (Disney +) last night. Set in a Chicago restaurant and essentially a drama (with some comedy) centred on cooking and family relationships. Took me a couple of episodes to get into it but once I did I binged it. Fabulous cooking scenes and intense emotions. The "Fishes" episode in series two is particularly outstanding.
Other things I've enjoyed/admired recently are Colin from accounts, the sixth commandment and the gallows pole.6 -
Series 2 of The Bear is TV perfection. Superb series7

Just started season 1 of Manifest and seems ok.
I see there are 4 series - is it gonna be worth the investment of time ?0 -

Just finished the 2nd series of From on Sky....no idea what is going on, but relatively entertaining. Also finally got round to starting Dead Loch on Prime. Been on my list for a while. First few episodes were pretty good. Mixture of dark humour and crime drama.0

Watching The Bear right now. Good entertainment. Series 2 a lot more light hearted than the first1

Finished all 6 episodes of WOLF on iPlayer which started on Sunday on BBC1.
Would thoroughly recommend - challenging at times as to what's really going on but twists & turns with moments of illumination make it intriguing and well worth watching.0 -
