Or maybe he know his gang were offloading? (If they do)killerandflash said:Holden hasn't started EOC since his return from injury, so maybe he doesn't rate him as much as the fans do?2 -
Because Inniss wasn't fucking up. That all changed at the weekend so hopefully he stays and plays alongside Ness on Saturdaykillerandflash said:Holden hasn't started EOC since his return from injury, so maybe he doesn't rate him as much as the fans do?1 -

He’s our best centre half, currently by some stretch. Offloading him would be ridiculous
The rest aint very good though are they0 -
This is the biggest clear out at Charlton since ?
Oohaahmortimer went on that high fibre diet !

What a worrying window this is turning out to be. Agree that there are players we need to shift but the replacements???1
-
Many fans thought they can all go apart from Leaburn, Dobson, AMB and maybe a couple of others.
Now we're getting our wish come true about a root & branch overhaul the usual moaners are out in force.
I'll wait for the window to close before passing judgement.

Would be as short sighted as the decision to let Michael Morrison go under RD. awful decision to let him go.AFKABartram said:Hopeful the EOC rumour is one of those false ones put to raise concern at its potential, but then dampen other disappointments when it doesn’t.ie. At least EOC is still here

Just read the thread all the way through from the first page - and you'll find it's already been explained several times.timken said:why are the words "this transfer is subject to EFL approval" on the end of the articles on the official site re the last two signings
Hope that helps?

I think selling O’Connell shows what type of ownership we are in for.14

Says it all about our entire group of Centre-Backs that started the season...
They've all been linked with moves away today1 -
I honestly don't get why people are so worried, we've cut the wage bill and got rid of a lot of high earning, under performing players, and have so far replaced them with new options and tried to strengthen other areas.
We haven't sold Dobson, Leaburn, O'Connell or Wollacott (yet) but there's less than 4 hours to go, meaning any of them leaving would be unlikely at this point.
My only worry is we missed out on Plange, and clearly we need another striker in, but it's looking less likely now that we will see one come in1 -
I’m sure Thomas didn’t think twice when a couple of hundred thousand was put on the table by Wrexham. Probably didn’t even ask what player they wanted.4
-
Don't think I share the enthusiasm for O'Connell with as many on here. Early on he started bright but I think it was big fish in a small pond. Since coming back from his injury he's done little in his cameos to suggest he deserves to start. Innis and Ness are firmly the best centre-half pair we have. The only concern is depth if Hector isn't fit and as others have reported, couldn't complete the Wedny medical.1

To me it looks like setting up a totally clean slate for the summer.Covered_End_Lad said:I think selling O’Connell shows what type of ownership we are in for.
Which is what a new owner, and manager, would want.8 -

I can categorically say that we've been lied to. Contracted players leaving & being replaced by injured & loanees.
Wait for meltdown when Dobson is sold at 11pm.
Said players would come in and then they would address if players who were surplus to requirements could leave.
But more are leaving than arriving & we are bringing in loans & letting under contract players leave permanently.
IF EOC or Lavelle leave then we are weaker. Maybe not now but definitely in the summer. Yet another "rebuild" and the recent ones havent gone well. 6 loanees go back & short term deals like Bonne & Hector leave.
Would need 10-12 new players in the summer. Like we did last summer. And remind me how that went & where we are in the League currently.
Yes, call me negative but I'm not wrong.10 -
Best news for Wrexham is that Eoghan wont be cup tied for the Sheffield United replay3
-
Back to hoping Innis doesn’t get injured again. Hoped to never see Lavelle playing for Charlton again. Non-league defender at best.0

Am I missing something? But we haven't got a clue who these new people are?ct_addick said:This is going to be a mess at the end of the season. I am not feeling good about this reported takeover. Lowering costs is one thing but will we be able to put a team out the start of next season FFS ? TS has fcuked us worse than RD.1 -
Apart from O'Connell leaving today isn't this what the majority of fans have wanted for months?golfaddick said:

Deadwood players, who have proven time and time again they cant hack it for us, looking at the table
The summer was always going to be another rebuild
Still want it to happen in the summer rather than January, this month is the time of year where players no one wants become available8 -

He wouldn't be allowed to play in that game - I don't think new players can play until the next round - but could sit next to Ryan Reynolds in the stands though.ForeverAddickted said:Best news for Wrexham is that Eoghan wont be cup tied for the Sheffield United replay1 -
Or perhaps Ness has been playing well and generally improving game on game?killerandflash said:Holden hasn't started EOC since his return from injury, so maybe he doesn't rate him as much as the fans do?
There's a good player there who just needs to play and gain experience,
Ness has the shirt and EOC will know he has to train well and be ready for his chance.
And IMO that's how it should be.

Best centre back by some distance leaving and people still think we're in for a good season next year.
We have no money. For the likes of Wrexham to be able to sign our better players shows the level we're working at.15 -

Wrexham must be offering silly money
Both their CB got injured the weekend so they’re desperate as well2 -
How can anyone sit here and say they are happy with what’s going on ??? We have been here before. Selling players and getting frees and loans back on a short term contract until the end of the season. Wake up and smell the coffee14
-
I actually think we've done good business this month. Managed to get rid of some of the underachieving, high earning dross & strengthened in other areas. The balance of the squad looks much better to me than it did at the start of the month.
I'm clearly in the minority though!!5 -
Ha, just seen that Edwards is 30 in a months time.
So much for the "going for young players that will have a resale value".
Jonny Rotten was right all along.0 -
Fuming with that. When will things ever change for us ffs0

Yes, but it wont happen in the summer either.ForeverAddickted said:
