Jack's "dumb" daughter comes into his workplace every day in order to "sign" with others and do her homework.

Before I get brick bats for making these comments all I am saying is they are not representative in numbers in London today.
Not in those numbers/ratios.
IE I doubt many have "dumb" kids allowed into their workplace daily to do their homework.
I doubt that nearly all more senior police officers are non white.
I don't believe the vast majority of families are mixed race.
I'm not saying any of the above is wrong, just that the writer is paying too much attention to box ticking, meaning the programme isn't representative of every day life.
It would be just as unrealistic if everyone was white C of E, because neither is that the case in London.0 -

Not every advert, but definitely the majority, which once again is not a true reflection of society as the majority of families aren't mixed race, even if a significant minority are.eaststandmike said:

Watched episode 3 last night and fully in agreement. This show is so good, I'm just completely engrossed for every single second, wondering what's coming next. As said before, I had no idea this was based on a game so have no thoughts on whether the actors portray the characters effectively, but it is amazing TV and I would urge people to watch if they can!Rufus is a dogs name said:That 3rd episode of The Last of Us is one of the best hours of television I've watched in a long, long time (coming from someone who's never played the game).4 -

It's a fantastic piece of British television at its very best. You will get so invested in some of the characters. Paul Anderson is the real standout for me, amazing performance ably backed up by Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy, not to mention the late Helen McCrory... got to mention Sophie Rundle as well (She was brilliant in Jamestown too).Jessie said:I finished season one of Perry Mason and thought it was decent. I'd lose interest had I waited for each episode of Perry Mason season one every week instead of binging the complete season in one go.
I'll start Peaky Blinders (again) soon - watched the first three episodes before getting "distracted" by Twelve Monkeys😅 My mum binged all six seasons of Peaky Blinders last month and absolutely loved it. Shame there seems to be no season seven? But just a film to end the whole series?1 -
Just finished Vikings Valhalla. This second series has really warmed up and looks set for a third season. If you were a fan of Vikings, you will enjoy this one.3

Just finished the first season of Severance. Bizarre but really enjoying it. Only 9 episodes and less than an hour each. I recommend it if you like psychological thrillers.0

Has anyone mentioned Kaleidoscope yet? Interesting concept that you can watch it in any order, not sure it works 100%. However, thoroughly recommend it.3

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but I started Extraordinary on Disney + today. Mad twist on the superhero genre. Set in London and following a girl who is trying to gain her "power" in a world where everyone gets one at 18.Very funny so far. Pretty deadpan.Apparently created by the writers of Killing Eve.0

Just binged 1899. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a brilliantly filmed entertaining story. It also amused me that it was shot in (at least) eight languages, so unless you're a polyglot you're gonna need the subs on. Mrs Stig didn't like it much though because it "left you up in the air". Even if you don't like the programme, the bonus 'making of' prog is well worth a a watch. It was almost entirely filmed in a studio in Berlin apart from the bits that were shot at Elstree and a NY studio, but you wouldn't think it. The technology they used was amazing.0
