Ridiculous. It hit both his hands. VAR is an ass. I give up.

Kehrer temporarily plays volleyball. Goal stands.

I don’t think I understand the rules anymore.

The thing with VAR is there is still no consistency. Game to game still has different interpretations to the laws.

If Lerma makes more contact that’s a red card.

    Ha ha ha ha ha.

    VAR is a complete joke.

No different to what happened 5 mins ago in the other box.

I wish a manager would do something about thus nonsense. If I was O'Neil I'd be taking the Bournemouth players off.

Another poor VAR decision if you ask me. That isn't a penalty.

Embarrassing decision by the ref. It's so obviously not a penalty.

Interesting to read the comments on the Newcastle forum about Eddie Howe. For obvious reasons, there's a complete "love in" but I have to say I have always liked the way the guy has gone about things. He's spent a lot of time watching coaches around the world, picking out the good things and ditching the not so good. But his biggest asset is his ability to man manage.

Yes the money has undoubtedly helped but let's not forget that United spent more on Maguire than Newcastle did on the three defenders they signed. And it's how he has improved the ones that were there already that has stuck so many of their fans as impressive. From the Newcastle forum:

Joelinton: was about to be rode out of town.  Scorned object of derision who has been transformed into a near elite midfielder who is a leader on the pitch and a genuine good guy.

Miggy: ran around like a muppett, scared of his own shadow.  Now plays with bags of confidence and scores for fun.

Longstaff:  raised up by Rafa only to sink back into the quagmire under Brewce.  He's not a world beater by any stretch but used correctly can be relied upon for a quality shift.

Murphy: another headless chicken who has been given proper direction and is now a serviceable PL player.

Shelvey: fat, lazy and disinterested.  Under Howe he has gotten fit and has a bit of fire.  The old Shelvey would have milked the injury until the WC at least.  It was great to see him back

Schar: Brewce had him on the scrap heap.  He's back where he belongs.

That's six guys.  They were lost money.  They weren't contributing and nobody wanted them.  Under Howe they have confidence and play with purpose.  Just like new signings, indeed, with no extra cost.  Brilliant work.

  • Meh who needs Haaland - Quite funny watching the Leicester bloke laying behind the wall getting a great view of the ball going into the back of the net.

    So?

Remembrance day is Remembrance day. I don't want these people making a unilateral decision to bring it forward two weeks for their own purposes, just so they can try to show what great and virtuous people they are.

It used to just be the games played over Remembrance weekend.

Then a few years back they decided that everyone had to do it at their nearest home game - which means conceivably you could have three if you have two away games (ie one midweek).

Now it seems October is fine. Remembrance day commemorations and Christmas adverts in October. *shakes head.

    Lovely reunion for Graham Potter

Am glad that Brighton appear to have appointed a decent replacement

Sterling doesn't do much these days. Going Chelsea was the wrong move.

    Moving abroad might have helped
  • Maybe there is a chance of Potter being the next England Manager after all

Can't believe Bournemouth haven't appointed a permanent manager yet.

Sterling devalued by Truss and Kwarteng.
  • Week by week Newcastle are looking like being a serious problem for the Champions league spots. Still only 1 defeat all season and that came in injury time at Anfield.

Genuine shout of top 4 if they can keep their main players fit, and they are aided by not having European football so they don't need to rotate players as much as the other top sides.

Just watched Tarkowski and Coady blocking shots for fun against Fulham then Gomez does that. He’s calamity.
