    There is a theory that Thomas, Roddy and Gallen have realized that by being bullish and saying we have loadddsa money will just cause agents to ask for unrealistic prices. They have been saying all along that they although they would like to have all the business done early they probably wont , so this would tie in with this approach. Who is to say that any of the players we have supposedly missed out on were ever actually targets of ours.

    A guy called Marc Drury wrote a very good post on the Charlton FB group about Ipswich, Wigan and transfers. I can't copy and paste FB text on my phone for some reason but worth reading.

    If NA is going to stick with the 4-3-3 we desperately need a couple more wide men in. Also if he's sticking with that formation I doubt we'd bring in another forward with Stockley, Washington, Schwartz and Davidson at the club. 
    All in all we are looking a bit short but I can't remember a summer where I hadn't felt this way at this stage. I'm expecting 2 more permanent signings and 3 prem loans

    I think the plan will be to use Washington as one of the wide players. I think we could do with a back up target man if Stockley gets injured as I can’t see Schwartz or Davison being able to cover that role.

    It feels to me like last season when we waited until the last minute and ended up with Bogle, Maddison, Levitt  and Smyth :)
    All under a salary cap
