Read Bowyer’s comments re Fosu and yes he is a lot better but after beating 2 or 3 players his final pass was often misplaced which is rather frustrating and maybe is why he has been marked at 6.53

He is thanking the home fans.paulie8290 said:

First home game of the season. Surprised by how many were there and by the atmosphere.
One of the most comfortable victories I have seen us gain. Thought Gills were awful.
Really enjoyable afternoon.3 -
Fosu starred today and yes he has hit his old form as was decent last week also. As soon as Lyle left the pitch we were’nt as good which shows his importance to the team. Back four all very good as usual lately. They all did well; Ajose did a bit better especially at crossing the ball low but I just wish he could impress us with desire and willingness to chase. Gillingham were better than Wimbledon but lacked belief. Bowyer has them passing well and long may that continue. Let’s hope Aribo stays and we get some reinforcements in January1

However, he was the MOM, scored with a great shot all his own work, set up Reeves' goal and hit the underside of the bar.lancashire lad said:Read Bowyer’s comments re Fosu and yes he is a lot better but after beating 2 or 3 players his final pass was often misplaced which is rather frustrating and maybe is why he has been marked at 6.5

I think the 4 in the middle; Beliek, Fosu, Aribo and Reeves, plus Taylor up front are so entertaining to watch.
Very good footballers at this level. Quick, incisive passing that can leave defenders/rival midfielders rooted to the floor.3 -
Thanks for posting the videos Callum. Great stuff.Callumcafc said:1-0 Reeves 6'

I enjoyed that today. Putting together this sort of comfortable victory when we have been unable to put out our best team all season due to injury is testament to all involved. Had we played for the first 20 minutes of the second half the way that we did for the last 20 of the first we’d have scored five or six and could have properly rested some legs but a win is a win is a win.
Fosu was absolute mustard. I’m afraid I still don’t get Ajose at all but Karlan will be back soon.1 - Sponsored links:

I thought they were very poor away support. Only heard them 2 or 3 timespaulie8290 said:

3 more points today , Well done boyz 🙌🏿👏🏿 @CAFCofficial ⚪️🔴5 -
Solid win, rather than a brilliant performance, but grinding out the wins is what's needed
Fosu did some great things today, but also some sloppy stuff, he's very hit and miss, as the cliche goes the opposition don't know that he will do next, but then neither do his teammates. Steer had his worst game for a while, but we all have off days.
Disappointed in the Gillingham support, pretty quiet and I would have expected more numbers. Very surprised at the number of home fans today, the last Saturday before Xmas is usually one where shopping drags a few people away, and it's not as if it was exciting opponents either3 - Sponsored links:

Just to make one thing clear,
Steer has been our most consistent player along with Taylor this season.
He got hit by a Gills player early doors and seemed to struggle with his kicking today which is unusual because that is one of his strengths.
A keeper has an off day and still keeps a clean sheet.
7 out of 8 wins with injuries is a fantastic achievement by Lee and Jacko.
Clarke and Cullen to come back next month and hopefully Grant and Ward fit for selection on boxing day.

Anyway got the 9 points I wanted from December.
My opinion any points from next 2 games is a bonus.
Then on to January 9 points from that month and we begin our promotion push l.
Can't wait for Barnsley next Saturday.0 -
3 points. Bielik and Fosu were quality. Time to give Taylor a rest. The fella is like watching a extra from Star Trek. Give the fella a break. He's playing on one leg!
Added mention to the one right legged Solly at left back.
Onwards and upwards!!0 -

Ajose shit
RGF shit.
If Taylor is half fit he has to play ATM.
Sign Eaves and Taylor can have a rest4 -
Considering the injuries we have in an already small squad I don’t think anyone can really moan about the last eight games even when you bring into consideration the Blackpool result. I’m just hopeful that statistically we can’t keep up this amount of sidelined players and that there will come a spell in the season when we get a bit of luck and get to play our strongest team for a few games. Unless of course Duchatelet puts a huge spanner in the works in January and flogs off who he can instead of adding maybe one or two. Still, I’ll take our Christmas league position with a big ol’ smile because I didn’t see us being where we are at this point in the season.
Really looking to Barnsley on the 29th.1 -

Greeted with the news before the game that cabbles would not be attending due to an horrendous hangover from his office Christmas lunch yesterday - weak.
No matter, the winning machine that we are just forged ahead and leapfrogged Peterborough United into 4th place. This was the game when we finally saw the Fosu who performed so wonderfully well last season.
Gillingham to their credit had us on the back foot at the beginning with their pressing and they were certainly no AFC Wimbledon(how the hell did they win today?). Ogilvie managed to graze the outside of the post and he followed this up with a dangerous ball into the box.
Then we set to work and as early as the 6th minute, we went ahead. The goal was initially aided and abetted by their keeper Holy with a misguided throw that was intercepted. Fosu put out a great ball to Reeves who put it past the advancing Czech keeper.
Lyle Taylor as ever would be instrumental throughout the match, showing the persistency he has in his game and his ability to shield the ball so well. There was great movement with him, Dijksteel, Aribo and finally Fosu as he crashed a wonderful shot against the bar. We were seeing now that Fosu was looking so sharp.
Chris Solly was making a valuable contribution to proceedings showing us his good vision and awareness.
Back to Lyle, this boy is willing to show himself all the time in stark contrast to Josh Magennis last season. He's so lively.
Dean Parrett, who was on loan to us back in 2011 was quite lively for them too.
In the 37th minute, Reeves had a terrific chance to net his 2nd - he only had to put the ball either side of Holy following good work by Fosu to feed him.
While all this was going on up front, Pearce was his usual authoritative self at the back.
Back to the front again. We were treated to a wonder goal by the rejuvenated Fosu. I had only just been uttering to jlow the transformation we had been seeing of him this afternoon.
They say that 2-0 is the most dangerous score in football. So I was delighted to see the intense concentration on our players faces as we prepared for an immediate Gills corner.
As the first half came to a close, Charlton Athletic were producing some lovely fluid movement. Word was coming from upstairs that Paul Scally, their chairman was not amused.
Gillingham came out at the start of the 2nd half with renewed vigour and we had to be on our guard.
One great moment for me was when Solly went into a 50/50 ball. He went in so hard, it was magnificent to watch.
The covered end serenaded Lyle Taylor with the Wham Christmas classic and we addicks began to have a seasonal glow.
It was not only Solly who could put the boot in. Jason Pearce won a crunching tackle.
As the Gillingham threat begun to slowly subside, Reeves clipped the top of the crossbar.
Taylor was substituted in the 80th minute and poked his tongue out to the lower west stand. Turning into a legend - this man.
We just had to concentrate and do our jobs for the last ten minutes or so, but in truth, Gillingham were a bit flat now and a lot of their fans were making an early march to the station.
Marshall came on for a nanosecond at the end but still created a chance for himself.
Merry Christmas to all you fellow Charlton lifers.9 -
