Maybe - the club needs a cash injection now and he isn't willing to dip into his pockets to make it or it is a threat to the new owners - buy the club before I destroy it! I doubt that would work, but we can't know what is in the scum's warped mind! That's all I can think of. Any other possibilities that make some sense?

Say RD has sold him at 2.5m and the Aussies valued him at 4m, they’re now paying £37.5m for a club their due diligence values at £36m.
That’s an issue, especially if they didn’t sign off on the transfer.1 -

Sounds like he's trying to put the squeeze on The Aussies and threaten a fire sale with the few players remaining of any worthwhile value. Can see a relegation fight on the cards unless this is resolved by the weekend.0 -

If the takeover breaks down and players like Pearce, Forster-Caskey, Fosu, Aribo and Magennis are sold then putting your money on us to be relegated might not be such a silly bet.2

This looks bad - we assumed Konsa sale was agreed with new owners. You don't agree to sell a house, then sell the garage to somebody else before completion!6

I personally see this as a threat from Roland to say hurry up to the buyers, as in “I’m going to plan for next season as if you’re not completing the takeover so cough up now”. That’s about as positive as it gets.7
