You would have thought they would have a reasonably early look at things for the Rochdale fans.
Calm down, calm down otherwise the men in white coats will arrive, give it time to warm up predicted to be +3* by kick off.0 -
I really want football today - got a feeling Rochdale will get their bums spanked today0
-
Trouble is the Northern boys are more used to arctic conditions than us Southern softies............I'll get my coat........bit chilly in here!0
-
If the game goes ahead, will the ref take into consideration that once the sun goes down, the temperature will drop and the pitch will start to freeze?0

Man up Guinness...you'll be in the sun in a few days! ;-)0 -
it's -10 in Sheffield and Huddersfield. Could end up as low as -13 by five o clock0

Ref on his way to the ground (on Twitter)0

Right, just been out in the garden in just a pair of shorts, the temperate on my garden thermometer is 2c. Heat wave, it's like I'm already in Auz.If the game goes ahead, will the ref take into consideration that once the sun goes down, the temperature will drop and the pitch will start to freeze?

I am already expecting a postponement and am replanning my day now. Really wanted it on to get 3 more points and crank up the pressure0

I've been up the top of the highest mountain in Germany when it was -10 and a full scale blizzard in only a jumper and rain jacket, now that was cold, so this is like summer compared to what I've been in
Prior you are a feckin hero!

Setting off in an hour - hopefully still on. Cold down here!0
-
I suppose the other consideration is if there is ice on the roads around the Valley and in the fans areas at the Valley0
-
Icy roads could be a problem, especially as Charlton don't have Gritt anymore...0

I can imagine how cold it must've been up there with your trousers that don't touch the top of your shoesI've been up the top of the highest mountain in Germany when it was -10 and a full scale blizzard in only a jumper and rain jacket, now that was cold, so this is like summer compared to what I've been in

-18 in Krakow so will be in a warm cellar bar watching West Ham v Milwall later today, last flight back tonight so from a promotion point of view hope it goes ahead, 3 points and an extention of our lead at the top, from a sellfish point of view hope its called off and re-arranged to make a date I am back home...feel for the Dale fans though, any cancellation after 10 and they will be on route?
Nathan, I have far more than a jumper and jacket out here and am fat so not as "warry" as your efforts.....0 -
Where does the ref live?
Today's referee is Fred Graham based in Stanford-Le-Hope in Essex, so not that far for him to travel.

Whilst on an off piste sking trip I found myself in -32 degrees, it was in the Dolomites (Livigno Italy to be precise) this was a good few years back mind you.I've been up the top of the highest mountain in Germany when it was -10 and a full scale blizzard in only a jumper and rain jacket, now that was cold, so this is like summer compared to what I've been in

Lost all feeling in my nose, cheeks, lips, eyebrows etc, jeez that was beyond just being cold.
We had to abort the run and soon headed back to civilsation.
As for todays game, I have a feeling it will go ahead!

-32 does sound cold
But I saw us lose 1-0 to Barnsley in November 1990 and I reckon it was -100 that day never been so cold at a football match ever0 -
Games off just had a call from the jackpot team and we ain't working
Is this a silly post eddie?....Please don't start anything that is even remotely a joke or guess work eddie....some folk will take it as gospel and remember many have a long way to travel.
We've seen this happen in the past mate with folk ending up totaly confused....so let's wait until it's 'officialy confirmed, oneway or the other!

Silver lining is at least their fans will have 1 disrupted journey, so we still owe them 1 more and we're even
Seriously would be good to know by 930 so I don't bother setting up for work at 10am then having 5 hrs doing nothing this afternoon0 -
You'd expect it to be frozen where the hole is! What about the other bits?0
