Watch NJ comment on the game and you will realise you are wrong and it was not as bad as you thought 🥱4

I’ve had a great afternoon reading a match thread. Sadly, this wasn’t it.2
-
At the match another 100 quid plus wasted on a team so useless I wonder why myself and many others bother. Yes I do cos I love Charlton.
It was clear their only threat was from a corner but we continued to give away so many....and wellvdone godden great miss that's two in a week.3 -
Don't like naming people so not going to. So;
The bloke that shares the same name as one of my boyhood heroes shouldn't put the shirt on again.
The son of a legend did well for 20 mins but the game lasts 90.
Not sure what the bloke who shares his surname with ex Chelsea and Man U manager brings to the team.
He who has the same surname as my ex brother in law needs to work on his finishing skills.
The bloke who shares a surname with city Lady G came from is not an upgrade on the guy who lost his way to Budapest.
Why was the suit maker subbed?
Do we trust the man?
The only stat the matters on he who left is 23.
And to all those not well, get well soon, we effing need you.7 -

19 points from 14 games, I've been lucky in that I missed all 3 October home games but it sounds like the football is just so uninspiring to watch.
The squad has zero excitement or creativity in it, it's a really poor L1 squad. Questions have to be asked of the ownership as to what they are actually trying to achieve9 -
Oh and anyone thinking our "owners" will divy up in January... No chance!
Seems a shame to write off another season so early, but that's Charlton.4 -
I saw a midfield of Taylor, Coventry, Campbell and Docherty before the game and decided there was no point in watching it or even following on here.
As fans we are regularly told the football people know more than us yet in the summer I read tonnes of posts on here about how we lacked creativity, pace and a dynamo box to box player in midfield and lacked dominant ball winning CBs. Yet our football people bought in Campbell, Potts and Hylton as last minute additions. It's pathetic recruitment.
Look at the revelation at Forest since they binned off Scott and at the Dads Army of ex-Luton guff our manager has bought in, FFS.
We are going no where this season, that was pretty obvious after the first 3-4 games even when we were near the top. It's been close to relegation form since.
Progressive clubs keep their best players and improve, we moved on our best two in the summer and bought in worse.
On a positive note, I like Exeter after my visit last summer so don't begrudge them the points.9 -
Going nowhere.
We've stagnated so long in League One, we’re now just part of the furniture.

This side and manager is not going to turn things around. I don't want Jones sacked as I want to build a successful side, but christ whoever we get in, it seems so pointless. I have come to believe that the only way to get out of this league is to do an Ipswich, Birmingham, Wrexham etc and spend to promotion. Sadly football these days is about who spends most.
Now clubs all round the leagues perenially spend money and don't achieve success, just think Chelsea and Everton that have spent £Billions.
I now believe that some of it is simply luck, when it all clicks and the key players stay fit.
As others have said, even with our injured players back, we'd still be off the pace. This midfield is about as effective as an age verification button is at stopping kids from accessing Pornhub.
There is zero dynamism. Even our players that are quick, aren't quick with their feet. Those that a good with their feet, aren't quick, hence nothing flows. I'm not sure on the stats, but I'd hazard a guess we spent about 70% of it in our own half. Second half was more even, but what was Leaburn doing for their goal at the near post. He's 6' 7" for fecks sake and the ball arrived next to him. If anyone can head a ball it's him. He did some lovely skills but he isn't going to get us the 20+ goals that our lead striker will need, and especially because the other 10 players in the pitch aren't going to contribute the other 50+ goals needed to make the playoffs.
The defence is now far from watertight, which WAS the Jones game plan. Tight defence, get a goal, sit on it. The opposite is happening every week.
I wander what Jones is REALLY thinking. I'd imagine it's won't be long before it's, Fuck This!5 -

Even if we'd lost it would be nice to hear that we were beaten by the better team, lost by the odd goal in 5, that their keeper played a blinder etc etc.
But no......its all so negative.1 -

My positives from today:
I didn't watch the game.
I didn't listen to the game.
I didn't start reading the match thread until 5 minutes before FT.
Tomorrow I fly to the Caribbean, well away from this clusterfcuk of a shitshow.11 -
He said the same old shit then0

Starting to feel like Groundhog Day again, and are only hope is the return of Aneke. Last season shows what happens when you enter a terrible run and inability to keep cleansheets.
I’ve accepted that we won’t finish anywhere top 6 this season. Just hope we don’t fall apart like we did last year.2 -

So did we fire some crosses in and put him under pressure - and give him a bit of a friendly thump?
No we gave him an easy afternoon with over largely over-hit crosses and never went near him.
Crazy.7 -

Despite injuries, the performance etc etc we created enough to win the game 2 or 3 times over once again, like stockport, wrexham etc.
Surely our luck has to change eventually.2 -
Docherty said the word frustrating in his interview about 10 times, which is coincidentally the amount of times I've been frustrated at his performance on the pitch5
-
The jones post match interviews always seem to say the same thing - “we need to be better”. But why aren’t we?7

I had hoped for a 1-1 but had little confidence in the team to win today. When you are a defensive team with no creativity, but still ship goals, it's not a recipe for success.
Happily I am going to Huddersfield and will probably go to Walsall2 -

i do think the current ownership group have been conned. There is no point just spending money on funding the operating loss and continuing to fail. Put it in as equity up front and give yourself a decent chance.20 -
What a mess.
This is the worst football I have ever seen us play. It is abysmal.
Who recruited this bunch of no marks?
These owners are supposed to be very wealthy individuals. Why don't they invest some money into the club, like the Birmingham, Wrexham lot ?
Once again the club is on the floor.
The Belguim still has us over a barrel with a short term lease. Charlie is currently fooling some of you. Don't be misled.
As much as I would like to see at least one creative player brought in it will make no difference to the club in the long term.
We need a complete overhaul and reset from top to bottom.
I have a gut feeling that Charlie, Nutjob and Leaburn will not be here next season.1 -
@LouisMend
Did they let you speak on Radio London today?
I missed the start but didn’t hear you.
Do you ever wonder why they speak more, even about Leyton Orient, than they do about us, and if so, is this because you’re happy to say less? Sometimes even Bromley, or last season Sutton, get more coverage than us.0 -
