Think the GK must be a free agent right? Otherwise there's no way they'd be training with us already. Looks most like Bentley but as they turned down bids from Arsenal for him that seems like a no go to me
League One managers give their views with a day of the window remaining:
Michael Skubala (Lincoln) is not expecting any signings tomorrow (which probably means he is not expecting any departures either).
John Brady (Northampton) has been trying to sign a striker all summer, without success.
Matt Taylor (Bristol Rovers) is still looking for players but is not too complimentary: "Unless you’re going to outlay a huge financial amount, there’s not any real quality available."
Michael Duff (Huddersfield) is happy with his squad. In other words, watch out for a flurry of activity tomorrow. Birmingham's outlay now exceeds £13.5m in transfer fees alone, yet Chris Davies is apparently not satisfied yet: "We still need to do some business, absolutely, we're not there yet." Blackpool have nine players out of contract within the next ten months and anticipate some departures on deadline day. Steve Evans is looking for a midfielder and a No.10 before the window closes to bolster Rotherham's poor start; Evans is already under pressure from the fans for his touchline behaviour as well as misfiring performances.
Phil Parkinson (Wrexham) believes their summer has been a big success but admits their bids for strikers have been unsuccessful. Perhaps not every player is fooled by glitz and money after all.
And Burton's Mark Robinson appears to have no idea whatsoever of his club's transfer plans: "As you know I’ve come in as Head Coach and not recruitment, so I don’t know. I don’t know if the budget’s there and I don’t know if that’s something the club will want to do." Incredible that the head coach apparently has no say in recruitment.
It's been noticeable how so many of our recent PL loans have ended up signing for clubs below us, showing that there are a lot of average young players at PL clubs.
We still absolutely need to sign a left sided centre back. To not do so would be a huge risk as we’d be a Gillesphey injury away from being in trouble
Possibly, but plenty of good LCBs haven’t been left footed.
And although they’re not easy to find, Exeter managed to sign a very good one. Tristan Crama, signed from Brentford (on loan, I think).
They don’t have to be left footed, but are any of our current options good enough to play out there? I wouldn’t be that confident in any of them, REG did it a bit in pre-season but I think we definitely need to sign someone more comfortable playing there
Thing is, we don’t really know. But Nathan Jones will know. If none of them are good enough to switch then I’m pretty sure he’ll want to sign one before the window ….. ….!
Still can't see it being a no signings day even if Potts wouldn't need to be done today. Think something will get done but it might need the Fraser situation being sorted whether he's sold/loaned or if we have to pay his contract up.
2 out (Fraser and TT) and an LCB and GK in feels like the most likely scenario. But deadline day always throws up surprises.
Can't see us bothering with a keeper now, unless a clear number 1 becomes available, which I just don't see.
LCB is an absolute must, if it's Potts, great, if that can't be done, another one has to come in, as Potts signing after the window is not a guarantee.

Do I still want him? Absolutely
