Glad Fraser is being moved out. Club showing some compassion for his situation and showing some ambition thinking we can do better. Fraser is a good footballer. Charlton has been a graveyard for decent players for some time. I wish him well.
Fraser's time at Charlton was slow start because of injury and illness, a decent time in the middle and his form has fallen of a cliff this season. The usual suspects will say he's been rubbish the whole time he was at Cafc but that just isn't true but it's fairly clear League 1 is his limit on a good day or the Scottish Premier ! I wish him well as he needs to move on.
Let's be honest Fraser was the player everyone wanted us to sign following the MKD home match when he scored the winner during lockdown. When we finally got his signature two years ago we were delighted.
Like others have said imho he didn't quite live up to that hype.
I would imagine that this is a significant wage off our books. It seems the club held out for a better deal. Let's hope Hearts can make it permanent in the summer.
When the team under-performs for so long you have to question why? It's fair to say Fraser was one of the biggest contributors towards us under-performing. He had his good days but not enough of them to justify him no doubt being one of our biggest earners.
When you see smaller teams performing better than us with smaller budgets it really hits home that we shouldn't accept under-performing as the norm and if that means moving on most of the squad for a rebuild then so be it.
So that’s CBT & Fraser out the door this window (Highest assist makes in the squad). Assuming Anderson will get a loan move. Appleton mentioned one or two more, assuming that’s another striker + one more.
That’ll be CBT. Zero goals or assists from Fraser in the league this season I’m afraid.
'The Hungarians ain't having it' has potential to get added to the list of in-jokes on the other thread. Feels like it's Danish gangsters levels of comedy claim.
Sacking Appleton halfway through a window won’t affect transfers in my opinion, he was never a draw to any of the signings we’ve made so far.
Disagree, a few of our signings have been players that have played under him before, I have no doubt that Coventry wouldn't have been influenced to sign here if he hadn't played for Appleton

Long gone are the days that we were a model to look upto.
Let's not forget that Appleton wasn't appointed as manager, he was head coach.
We all know it means who takes training, sets tactics & formations, chooses the team on a matchday etc etc.

I believe big Ron Dangerfield is off on Monday's and the intern struggles with the fax machine.
