Who’s left to be moved on now perhaps. Stockley. Mansfield, maybe Kirk
Thomas or Lavelle could probably go given we have Innis, Ness, O'Connell, Mitchell and whichever of Thomas or Lavelle stayed.
Thomas was only signed on a contract till the end of the season I think, not sure when Lavelle’s contract is up. If it’s the end of next year, then Thomas maybe more likely to go
In terms of players signed in January and making an impact , didn't Birmingham sign Christophe Dugarry in the January window and he kept them up?
Evra and Vidic both went to United in January. Won quite a bit. Liverpool signed VVD, Courtenio and Sauarez in Jan. De Foe went to Spurs, twice, Pompey and Sunderland and had an impact. Dempsey to Fulham. Arshavin to Arsenal, Arteta to Everton. There are loads of good ones.
Lazy Journalism .. Leaburn like Dobson will both still be in a Charlton shirt come feb 1st
Just add all players have a price even the best players in the world .. silly offers you have to accept anything over 1 mill for either will be silly money

Anything over £1million would be silly money? If anyone gets Leaburn for £1million you may as well start the protesting now. He’s already shown twice the promise of Burstow who went for more than that.

Everyone should know that by now 😉 Cuddles must have called him that a thousand times since his deadline move in the summer to Mansfield fell through…..it’s DJ.

Agree £1m+ would be silly money, Leaburn is worth more. You only need to compare his goalscoring and all round game to Burstow to see that. No one is expecting £10m but a young English goalscorer with technical ability, height and decent pace is going to attract a lot of interest.

That rational is dumb!!! I nearly had a vanilla cheesecake coffee this morning but chose to have a cup of tea instead. Doesn't mean I'm changing my user name Nespresso
Presumably there's some details that need to be sorted out then but good to know it's not fallen through at present.
Who knows, maybe it's trying to sort out an option for a permanent move at the end.
I very rarely get such tip-offs but my Fulham colleague in the Olympic Stadium Coalition Whats'Apped me an hour ago to say that we are "about to sign" him. I've pinged him back to ask if he knows whether its loan or perm, and what the take on him as a player is, and also if he can put to bed any talk that Sess might suffer a recall. My source is well connected to the club management (he's part of a Supporters Trust that is trusted by the Board).
Leaburn I hope would be more in the £3m bracket but I'd like to think we'd hold our nerve until the summer , let him score 10-15 goals and see what offers come in there.
I think if we sell Miles and Dobbo in this window that will be me finished with the club. I understand that every player has a price but there are times when certain players have to be retained to build a future squad capable of achievement.

Sympathize with you regarding our selling of key players, personally i don't see either going anywhere this window, so you should be ok to carry on suffering with the rest of us...hope that makes you feel a bit better...
Didn't Tracey say to someone on here recently that it's not just up to the club whether Miles leaves.
Given he's from a football family, they'll know all the trappings of young players following the wages too early. Miles is playing every week at the moment, getting better every game and with a 100% supportive fanbase who will never get on his back (triple emphasis on this last point). Why move on now? If he goes to the Prem or the Champ he's going to sit on the bench or be loaned out god-knows-where.

I don't feel too worried, personally.
They did but things can change quickly after the club accept an offer and there's a big contract put in front of a player.
If he's sold I could see him being loaned back like Burstow was.

I doubt he would care if he was on 20k a week.
I suspect that "the family" will ensure the club get a good fee, like Kirk at Crewe. Also I would suspect that any deal would have a long term loan back, for all the reasons you suggested.
I don't think he will go this window but would be pleasantly shocked if he is here, as a Charlton player, in 1st Feb 2024.

This ☝️
It was probably in one of my more angry moments and general lack of quality we’ve had to put up with over the years
I will give credit where it is due and I am happy at the 2 signings the club have made in this window so far on the basis they are short deals. Maybe people wanted better than Bonne, but I thought he was okay, he’ll definitely be a step up from Stockley.
The challenge is knowing who and how these deals are being signed off given the uncertainty around who will own us. With the greatest respect to all those that have left in Jan so far, and who might leave, moving them on has been as refreshing as bringing in new players

Of course, anything is possible. But let's not forget he came from Chelsea after being dropped by them and it was said that he had many more Prem clubs interested in him at the time. But they decided to come to Charlton. Most likely because it's "home" and because the route to the first team is far clearer. Are they going to call quits on that after 18 games? We'll see I suppose.
But Miles is more likely to stay than another young player in his position would be, we can at least admit that.
"Tayo's a terrific technical footballer. Can play left back, left wing but actually came through our academy as a box-to-box midfielder. He's definitely Championship level so if you want to play proper football under Holden will be a good addition to the squad"
"Stevie has always been dreadfully unlucky with injuries. He's loving it at Charlton and we won't be recalling him"

Loan with possibility to buy.
