Won the Swedish League in charge of Malmo the last two years
Why would he swap Champions League Football for League One - Although I'd still rate him higher than our Strikers
Appears he's left Malmö so might not too be daft , but would be very very left field.
Oh yes - He departed in December - Makes me feel better seeing them in third at the moment
Yes he did leave, he resigned last Dec I think. I know for a fact he was being touted as coming to the UK to work, that's what I've contacted my mate about, because Jon mentioned to my mate about following him to his next role, wherever that was going to be.
Sorry @RedMidland, I didnt know whether to like your post or laugh.
When you posted the original comment about knowing someone at Malmo, I wasnt sure if you were on a wind up, similar to where we all pretend to have someone we know at another club in question - Found your Malmo connection so bizarre I couldn't be sure, but your latest post clearly suggests you do know someone
Im Rangers by heritage due to a Scottish uncle but regardless of that Neil Lennon would be piss poor appointment. He succeeded in a Celtic team with talent but bar that, he has been terrible in literally every other job since.
I still think Warburton or Appleton would be good. Dont want Bowyer to even have a sniff but cant see it myself.
Daniel Farke the ex Norwich Manager. He twice got Norwich promoted. He is my choice. I do not like Lennon at all.
Before the invasion of Ukraine he'd taken the managers job at Krasnodar, who are a top 6 side in Russia. Obviously he isn't there now but if he's getting job offers at that level, there's no way he'd drop into league one.
I’ll be honest I have no idea about sectarianism and the historic hatred between Rangers and Celtic so no idea why everyone hates Lennon for that however I see no positives from him as a manager given it was a two horse race in Scotland and didn’t end well.
for me Beale and Warburton are the appealing options given they would look to build a culture here I think. Beale might prefer to be more in the background though
under no circumstances would I welcome Bowyer back.
Warburton is aspirationally optimistic. Farke is fantasy. Beale or Warburton and I’d be happy. 👍
Problem is, Warburton left Brentford because the policy at the time was very much like Charltons, high belief in stats and limited say in player recruitment. Unless he has changed his views, I dont think he would willingly accept our way of doing things
I am not bothered by his allegiances or which side of the sectarian divide he comes from, what does worry me is other than that first spell at Celtic he has been an angry failure.
Couldn’t care less what religion he is and if you’re bothered by that nonsense you’re a tool. I am bothered that he’s not a good manager.
Was informed that Beale will be a non starter as he was not happy that Thomas said he had contacted him in an interview when Adkins left. I can't recall this can anyone verify please? Hoping this is not the case and Beale is a possibility. Thomas has verified to me that he tried to contact Beale last time.
Sectarianism has led to over 3000 violent deaths during the modern troubles in Ireland, and those sentiments spill over to a degree in Scotland. Those troubles have dominated a huge chunk of the lives of many of us, and for that reason sectarianism certainly bothers me, and I have taken the trouble to know about it. They say ‘politics’ should be kept out of sport, but this is more than politics, it is tribal, as football is tribal. Hence why Lennon was at the heart of controversy in Scotland. Currently such troubles have more chance of returning than going away. The peace process should be preserved and extended, but it is very much under threat.

Got nothing to do with who our new head coach/manager will be. As per usual derailing a thread when it’s not needed

Sectarianism has been mentioned prior to my post. How come you’re not complaining to those posters about derailing a thread first? Read my post which is about the broader background in which Lennon operated and explain which bits are inappropriate.

what utter Bollocks as he will not come back 🤣🤣
1. It will not be any of the above.
2. It will be someone I've never heard of.

Bowyer 6/1
Ferguson 8/1
Appleton 8/1
He was 2nd favourite when Adkins got the job (not that that means anything as Adkins wasn't in the top 10).
Nothing to suggest he would be successful for us working to TS’s budget buys and desire to break even.
If for nothing else, than to be able to holler 'For Farkes 'ake' when the inevitable losing streak starts

No one cares that Beale is ex-Rangers
