Nicest fans in all of football apparently….
    Looked like palace ultra  wannabes

What a game to make a pitch invasion in as well! Away to a side two divisions below you!
  • We have to do something about our corner and free kick taking. It seems the players are making the decisions about what to do with them and it's not working.

We've not seen a left footed corner or free kick all season. The free kick decision on half time was more than brainless. Likely to be driven by a loss of confidence.

Nice free kick by Hendo which led to our last minute chance, which once again we managed to defend for the opposition by clearing it for a goal kick.
  • Be interested to see what VAR would make of that.

It would probably decide that Pearce was going to make contact with Krul anyway.

Goalkeepers get more protection that the bloody Pope
  • As has been covered in this thread feels like the one that got away. Frustrating but players can hold their heads high and hopefully gives them confidence for the upcoming games.

On the striker situation, yes we all know we are short but being without 2 of your starting strikers then the vast majority of clubs up and down the country will struggle to score. Burstow was busy without really threatening, similar for Leko, both their best work being done on the wing in tight spots. I feel like a broken record but our current setup we massively miss Washington's runs into the channels, I feel that's the sort of striker we need to be looking at recruiting.

Other than that thought all the defence played well once again, that recovery tackle by Inniss in the first half was Sue Perb although was a big worry he'd done some damage.

Shout for the Norwich fans celebration of the goal as one of the embarrassing moments of the season. Have a word with yourselves.
  • You see them given every single weekend tbh. No one griped about it being disallowed at the time because of that.

  • Good performance overall, and as much as it would have been great if we equalised at the death, we can probably do without a replay...
    There are no replays.
Probably could have done without Extra-Time

Didnt realise until someone mentioned earlier that we have Crewe on Wednesday
no wonder the fa cup is dying with attitudes like that - couldn't disagree more - you must be on a wind up surely?

Winnable game lost because of our attacking composure.

Norwich would not look out of place in League One and we would have beaten them with a better striker.
    Give it a rest ffs
He hasn't said anything wrong there. That game was there for the taking, and our inability to score is why we lost.
100% - stockley and washington play then i think we win that - burstow did well but is a work in progress and leko isn't really a striker - we have to buy at least one proper striker this window

    Why?

We are midtable in League One, we aren't going anywhere.

At least in the FA cup we could have had something to look forward to.
Seriously you twat... Read the rest of my comment

WE... HAVE... A... GAME... ON... WEDNESDAY!!!
So? We’re not realistically playing for anything in the league are we
Its not mathematically over is it, not by a long way - Its an extreme stretch, but if the players came out with your defeatism, a number of you would calling them every name under the sun!!

Jesus, the amount of you prepared to wave the white flag so early is embarrassing.

Not to mention I had already explained to the twat WHY I felt we could have done without extra time and the first line I get back is asking me just why - I mean how blind / ignorant do you want to seriously be?
the only person embarrassing themselves is you

I laughed at it when it happened. There's something very earnest about Pearcey even when he's trying to con the referee into a decision. It's especially funny given his push on Pukki after the nutmeg. Neither anywhere near penalties for me, both players going over looking for one.

Yes the famous FA Cup, with a rich history of third round ties going to Extra Time and Penalties... Wasnt it you who were calling it nothing more than reserve team competition recently?

I doubt Thomas will bring in any strikers this window. In fact I'd be surprised if the squad is 'strengthened' (better players in than we have now) during the window. This season is looking mid table which won't have Thomas reaching for the cheque book when the same players could be free in 5 months time.

I'm not knocking Thomas, quite the opposite, why waste money that could buy the same quality for less in the summer. It is next season that we should be planning for. Another player clearout, despite this being said, would not happen again, to which I interpret as he can't afford it (in his club spend budget) or doesn't wish to spend the money.

Better quality is needed to be top end this time next year, that cannot be argued. Can it?

  • Those Norwich fans.  FFS.  They do know we are in L1 don't they?
A backhanded comment in that the Norwich fans probably see us (as a club) at being at a similar level to them. They wouldn't be Oleing if they had been winning at Gillingham or Accrington.

And they're not used to being in the lead either  :D
  • Absolutely gutted about this one, even forgot my black jacket!
  • Where do I start trying to dissect that ?

We all know where the problem lies & the club has just over 3 weeks to sort it out. I've banged on for far too long about our problems up front but now it it there for all to see. Third 1-0 defeat on the trot & so we cant really be blaming the defence. Thought Innis had a great game as did Dobson. Just read what Jackson thought about the game so surely he should be putting pressure on Sandgaard to bring in some re-inforcements. We shouldn't be in danger of the drop, but being only 6 points from 4th bottom means we could be in for a tricky few months.

As for Norwich & the game in general  - they look a poor side & I've seen a lot better in League1. Thought we deserved at least a draw but if you dont score you wont win. It's as simple as that. And its not just the strikers as our midfield dont chip in with any either. And as for our set pieces......its getting beyond a joke now.

This team is going nowhere until proper investment and/or changes are made.
I would think after three weeks the season being a success will be beyond us, I think the next seven days would be more to the point.

got a lot to say about the stewarding and policing outside before the game - i'm normally in the ground a lot earlier but was later than normal due to my boys match - got there 20 minutes before kick off and got in 15 minutes after kick off - thousands missed kick off due to turnstile problems - the stewards, police and club officials were useless - will go into more detail in the week but the attitude of some of the stewards, club officials and police was piss poor and i won't be resting until they are 'f**ked right off from being involved in our matches again - 'you should have got here earlier' or 'you should have stayed at home' were quotes from the chief steward and the club official - the police were also brainless - about 1 person per minute were getting in and the gates should have been opened or turnstiles set to open - do they really think we would have all been queuing up without tickets - a complete lack of any leadership or anyone in authority giving a fuck and i am gonna get right on the case with this - got photo's of the 2 main useless pricks and will be making it my business to see they either learn from this or are shown the door. Absolute clowns,

He's a Instagram comedian, and he was in character at the match. Wasn't a Norwich fan for sure.
