JFH as boss with Lyle Taylor as his number 2?
Maybe get Dowie in as director of football and Simon Jordan as CEO?

    Make Jacko kit man?

    TS winning hearts and minds.

Keithy P out and Southall in as club ambassador?
  • It's absolutely inconceivable to me that anyone other than Jackson will get the job.  I just can't believe that anyone else is under consideration
  • Why the doubting Thomas? Talk about a PR disaster undermining Jacko
Please can someone or a Tracey Leaburn style group go to Thomas and tell him straight to stop messing around and appt Jacko.TS still has credit in the bank (just after Adkins / Roddy / ATV)  for saving the club but till he buys Valley, Sparrows Lane & gets a CEO I remain sceptical.  Big week for Thomas, to NOT appoint Jacko will spark a revolt from the fans and for press team at Charlton grows some balls and start advising Thomas that these stories coming out are seriously misplaced.

The amount of grown men squealing like babies on twitter because it hasn’t been announced yet is pathetic. @‘ing the owner and all sorts.

It's ridiculous isn't it. Not many first time manager's who act as caretaker's get a 2 year contract under 10 games. It doesn't mean they're not wanted. It's just how it goes.

What Thomas Sandgaard should be sorting out with Jackson is asking him to give him  the name of the striker he would consider to improve this team which is within a certain budget. Also the name of the CB who will replace Inniss, Pearce, and  maybe Famewo if he doesn't sign. These name are then passed on to Steve Gallen and Ged Roddy to get it done and also get the Lee transfer done with Luton.

Can't believe Thomas Sandgaard will go back to Colorado without certain issues being cleared up regarding to make sure we get in early for January window and let JJ know he has the Job.

Pleased certain people are confident that JJ will get the Job when Cafc have a history of cock ups including going back to the one and only Jimmy Seed who if he was respected more and with a tad more investment we could have been the Arsenal of South London and Golfie and co could  complain we are only finishing 4th in Premier and winning FA cups.

Whilst I believe Jackson will get the job eventually I think what's getting to people is not that he's not yet been made permanent but that these articles are being released with the owner who is naming names of people he's spoke to/interested in (maybe weeks ago, maybe not) and that these articles include direct quotes in which the owner says that Jackson will just revert back to assistant manager, this would be the most concerning for me on several levels.

Jackson will be a full time manager by Easter...................whether it's for us or another club is down to Saandgard
  • So the summary appears to be ....

Maybe the 'interviewing other managers' news is simply out of date and he's busy dotting the 'Is' and crossing the 'Ts' with Jacko as we speak.
Maybe Thomas needs to go through with a process so that he's fair to interviewees in case he needs to back to them.
Maybe the press release was a negotiating tactic (if so, clumsy and dangerous).
Maybe someone is advising him to do something different - would love to know who knows more about the game and Charlton than the likes of Curbs.
Maybe he thinks he's found someone so good that we'd understand why he went for them (can't imagine who that could be, given the risks).

I guess we're going to have to be patient and wait .....

In the mean time, Cashinbank throwing his hat into the ring is beyond laughable.

I’m keen on a threesome with Megan Fox and Sofia Vergara…
I was too, but Salma Hayek insisted on making it a foursome...(Christina Hendricks just wanted to watch)

I’d heard the story years ago, but just had another look.  To be fair though mate, there’s a lot more to Ms Fox to keep me distracted from her thumbs 😉😂

I do think Sandgaard has bought a lot of this on himself. He doesn't share a lot of what goes on so why not just say that Jackson is doing a great job interview and he has a day for deciding a new manager that he will stick to but the caretaker isn't doing himself any harm? It isn't wise naming other managers or other interviews. It would be if the results were so so, but they have been fantastic and that changes things.

I am also minded of Murray who was desperate to change the model when Curbs left and look where that got us. These owners can be too clever for their own good sometimes, but we probably ought to stand down a bit and assume Jackson will get the job sooner rather than later.

It’s just an odd statement, why talk about how Michael Beale knocked you back?

Asked about Beale, Sandgaard said: “He has a fantastic track record, especially on the supporting side. Of course we talked to Michael. We’ve also been a little more ambitious than that, in terms of the level of managers we’ve been reaching for.”

It sounds to me that Thomas may have knocked back Michael Beale, but it's hard to tell and should you be saying that out loud after Beale has gone with Stevie G to Villa ?

The more I read about TS's "search for someone special" ( my interpretation, not his words) , the more concerned I am about his modus operandi.

And his reference to JJ remaining part of the management team should he not be successful in the role of permanent gaffer, I honestly find it hard to believe he uttered those words !

SO disrespectful and utterly insulting IMO !

Remarks and assumptions of this kind will surely have surprised as well as shocked Johnnie.

And I don't foresee a happy ending if this is not resolved ASAP.

The "tone" has been set now those words are out there and can't be taken back, Thomas.

And the faithful have loooong memories.

    Just my opinion of course.....

I think we're getting too worked up and using the Managerial threads to replace our intense Ownership and takeover thread.

JJ is going to remain and be our gaffer.

Ultimately it will boil down to whether JJ is appointed or not. We probably ought to believe he will be and if he isn't we will deal with that as and when. I have to be honest and say that whilst I will always be a Charlton fan, I am getting fed up with us over the years, getting opportunities and cocking them up. None of those down to Sandgaard, but I am probably on my last missed opportunity before losing interest. I wouldn't have said it in my younger days but I am fed up with supporting incompetents, lunatics and crooks. Again, not saying Thomas is any of these, but experience has me on my guard.
  • The more I read other posters comments and views the more worried I’m becoming. My opinion is slowly changing from one where I thought TS was being super thorough in his appointment of new manager to one where I think it’s actually him that isn’t convinced JJ is the right man. I suspect this is massively complicated by the quite phenomenal turn around in form under Jackson. It’s probably paranoia at play here but I just get the inkling that TS wants to land a name. Keep winning JJ and make the decision to not choose you impossible.

It feels pretty impossible already. Of course a few defeats could change that, but the players want JJ and it is in their hands to have him. Win the next two and there is no escape from it.

The more this drags on the more worried I get . If TS is seriously thinking of appointing someone other than Jacko he is not the shrewd businessman we are lead to believe or he’s being advised wrongly  . At the moment, the longer this drags on the longer it feels like he’s waiting for Jacko to fail and that’s a massive mistake . 100% of the fans want him to get the job and if he goes against the will of the fans then he’s not learned a single thing from Charlton’s history .

when JJ took over, TS said he is giving him the opportunity to impress and basically make the job his, JJ is doing that and TS is no idiot. If we win tomorrow and Saturday I’d expect the news most are hoping for. Whatever ego people think TS has, he is also a very successful businessman and would recognise when he's into something good!!, think I may of heard that somewhere recently!!😂. I think there is a lot of impatience and second guessing going on, let’s enjoy the ride!!.

Was annoyed when he scored for us at Chelsea and refused to celebrate. Not even a hint of a celebration. And we went on to lose. Have never liked Chelsea, and that made me like them even less.
He won’t get the job over JJ. No way.

Would that not depend on how well whatever Jackson's replacement did?

Get a manager that continues the run, he's done well.

Get a manager that fails, he's made a brutal mistake as Jackson was doing well.
