Newcastle have a lot of money and could snatch 4th

    Perhaps they should risk it
They'd be better off without him. Would completely upset the dynamic of most teams and has proven it's all about him or he has a hissy fit. Someone will probably spunk a load of money to sign him but would be surprised if its one of the established European big clubs.

As a player, I can’t stand the constant face pulling and exclamations every time things don’t work out for him, he’s such a drama Queen ……it’s become increasingly frequent the older and less effective he gets.
Manu Utd and English football in general, IMHO, will be far better off without him.

He was still comfortably their top scorer last season, so will easily get another decent club

Hope no one decides to sign him... Why would you risk having that ego in your dressing room

Bloke just needs to retire now
Agreed, but the bloke generates money and most club's accountants would be interested.

He has half a billion followers on social media.  When he signed for United it generated 12.5 million likes on instagram.  Shirt sales went through the roof and sponsors were falling over themselves to partner up with United.

If hypothetically he signed for us Sandgaard could re-employ that bloke we had before to capitalise on him - although this time for a slightly longer time - maybe several months?

He's not Katie price, he just didn't want to remain at united. He's a very competitive individual and it didn't work for him.

Every ex manu legend moans about what United have now turned into.

He's been unprofessional but the bloke only cares about winning and winning only.

Manu are currently not good enough for what he wants.

However, If England do collide with Portugal in the knockouts, my hate for him will instantly return!

But probably closely related to the debt they foisted on the company and the money they take out of it.

No chance. Chinese clubs are all broke.

What's that, the second coming of the CR7 gravy train de-rails at ManU and suddenly the Glaziers want out? In other news, water is wet and the grass is green

Exactly this. He won't want to sign for a club lower down a league and clubs who are currently up near the top of their leagues won't want to risk upsetting their rhythm by signing him.

Of the big clubs out there i could potentially see Chelsea (they need a striker) or Bayern (haven't replaced Lewandowski, he could do a job for 6 months and win trophies) as the only options.

Great. Perhaps if he's prepared to drop a couple of levels we could sign him and breath some life into the  club castore shop.

Newcastle would be mad to sign him and potentially risk what they have going on there. Wilson fits perfectly in that system and they have Isak to come back from injury as well.

They don't need Ronaldo on the pitch, so the only reason they'd sign him would be if the owners wanted to raise their profile off it.

Ronaldo is only a problem because the media follow him round like dogs.

He is a media target, so he is a distraction, and therefore a distraction both on and off of the pitch for the surrounding players.

If he suddenly had permanent face surgery and changed his name, was unrecognisable, then he would be a great signing and addition for any premier league club.

People seem to forget he is just a human being and its unnecessary to over exaggerate everything he says and does.

"Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed an offer to play on into his 40s with Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr ready to hand him a three year deal worth $225m after the World Cup".

    That's almost
    £1.2m a week!

I've never liked him ever. Great footballer of course but bad person with a disliked personality and quite some extremely negative incidents -for example, smashing a kid's cellphone while walking off the pitch after a defeat. Jesus Christ... What a role model🙄 Messi will never ever do that kind of thing. In fact no professional players would do that.

What? Disabled an opponent, abandoned his country, failed in management, appeared in Young Offenders, whilst also working for ITV as a downbeat Tommy Tiernan doppelganger?

He's done what was known as a Taylor, now called a Boris, where he's refused to do the job he's paid to do, downed tools and left the country, betrayed his teammates and possibly turn up in Kiev like a flytipped mattress.

'Attention Seeking Ponce In Conversation With Attention Seeking Ponce, Reveals The Whole Truth Of Shockingly Difficult Life When They Don't Get Attention', rumours that his private pilot may have to go part time as demand for drama queens plummets in global recession, Mbappe and Neymar also cutting back on needless flights, stylists and salons.  Footballs biggest metrosexuals have been told to cut out the mincing by FIFA and some bloke on youtube who sounded like Graeme Souness/Begbie amid rumours of sanctions to 'eliminate the fannys' that could make them play in the womens world cup.  Jewellery, makeup, diving and screaming like a girl will be outlawed to eliminate the drama queens, this could rule out Olivier Giroud and Ronaldo as well.  This could be a return to 1970s football, and the reintroduction of Bovril, this is all according to the podcast 'Athletico Mince' by Bob Mortimer, who's rarely wrong

Media outlets can't get enough of Ronaldo.

If Portugal won the world Cup, the 1st BBC headline would be

"Ronaldo reluctantly lifts the world cup and then gives someone a funny look"

Gary Neville: I think Ronaldo has been really immature and his career is ending in a bad way.

    (3 hours later)

"And I think Ronaldo isn't as good as he used to be and he cant accept that..."

Ending a bit messi for Ronaldo. Theres no question that Portugal are a lot better without him. However a world cup medal for him would be what he deserves.

Fans as well, he's still immensely popular. Portugal scored 6 the other night and the biggest cheer was when Ronaldo came off the bench.

The guy also has more than 500 million followers on instagram, well over 100m more than the next person (Messi).

Fifa-playing kids who support players rather than clubs. Never saw that stuff coming, but that's the way marketing is taking it.

Ronaldo is making a fool of himself as far as I can see. Other players realise their powers are waning and adapt accordingly. Ibrahimovic has accepted he's on the bench for his final years and is acting like a model pro for the younger players to look up to. He's a great example of what Ronaldo could be like if his ego wasn't so rampant (which is ironic given the public personality Zlatan has cultivated).

    That's true

Ronaldos ego probably won't ever gently wind down but at the same time, the media feel a strong obsessive desire to add fuel to that fire.

When he's 86, he'll probably have a strop if he is on the bench during a new eltham Sunday league game and all the cameras will follow him to that grave

One of the two greatest footballers in the history of the sport. Someone of that profile will always provoke debate. No idea if he’s naughty or nice but he’s been a phenomenal footballer. I’m happy to leave it at that really. As for his powers waning, of course they are but last season he played 39 games and scored 24 goals. He’s still a remarkable player by any measure.
