I’ve stopped walking on the tow path along Regent’s canal due to the number of cyclists. Its okay when the cyclist are coming towards but as you can’t hear cyclists, its always a shocker when they come from behind (oooahh matron). 🤓

How come we’ve got all these old train lines routes where cyclist and walkers use together if it’s so dangerous. 

Children are not required to cycle on the road. 

Nope same for children as adults except children under 10 have no criminal liability. 

“ children under the age of 10 are below the age of criminal responsibility. Therefore, they cannot be prosecuted for a criminal offence. They cannot be issued with a fixed penalty notice either as they cannot be given to anyone under the age of 16. 

This means that, whilst police officers can theoretically stop young children (aged under 10) who are cycling on pavements, they have no powers to arrest, fine or even caution them.”

Why do you say ‘having’ to move aside rather than the cyclist dismounting and waiting?

It depends on the class of mobility scooter. Class 2 has a max speed of 4mph and is pavement only. Class 3 can be up to 8mph and can be road or pavement - although if you're on the pavement you shouldn't go faster than 4mph. Anything that can go over 8mph is road only.

So just had a look on line some mobility scooters can go up to 18 mph. 

That’s faster than most e-bikes crazy I might get rid of me car and get one of these to commute

I don't dislike cyclists, just I dislike having to make way for cyclists when I am walking along the pavement.
If a cyclist came across an adult walking a couple of toddlers along the pavement whilst holding their hands, wouldn't a cyclist wait rather than force the adult to wrangle the toddlers out of the way? They may also have a dog on a lead.

Really can’t understand some people what do you want stu everybody that has rode on a pavement locked up I think you’d find there wouldn’t be many people free. 

Should the criminals not have the respect to not inconvenience law abiding citizens? 

And no, I don’t think people should be locked up, but fined absolutely

Cyclists are about level pegging with nonce's on people I'd like the police to nick most list. Especially the ones who go out on a Sunday and ride 3 a breast down country lanes. The death penalty needs reintroducing for those reprobates.

All very well to kick pavement cyclists under buses in urban areas where there is likely to be decent bus services, hence plenty of buses. But what should you do in more out of town or rural areas where bus services are limited or non-existent? Perhaps we should include HGV and LGVs in the list of acceptable vehicles cyclists may be thrown under?
Surprised that runners haven't been mentioned yet as pavement undesirables.
Runners, imo, top trump cyclists as self entitled cnuts in the hierarchy of selfish pavement users. Go to any Park Run on a Saturday to watch hundreds of the b'stards mowing down young children out riding their small bikes. What gives them the right to take over these public spaces? And without paying towards the upkeep of the park.

I'd have an amnesty for everyone to hand their bikes and scooters in, over the course of about 3 hours, then anyone caught on, or in possession of, one, would get twenty lashes with a punctured inner tube.

30 cyclists need to complete 5 laps of the track whilst the competitor stands on platform at one end with a shooter and tries to pick them off. It combines cycling and shooting, so win-win.

And as there are always so many cycling events and chances to win medals I spose there needs to be different categories - like the small bore pistol event, the musket event, the shotgun event, the Uzi event, etc. 

Don't worry about where the cyclists will come from, @Gribbo is in charge of rounding them up for us.
