Sadiq Khan appears to get more criticism and hatred than Andy Burnham.
Sometimes I wonder why, what is the significant difference between those two Mayors?
You have become a sad parody of your own sad self. It must be difficult being you.
It is equally difficult for you to resist constant personal digs. A sad parody of a bully.
Racism unfortunately still exists and has to be challenged whenever it appears.
What is not helpful though is people trying to shoehorn Racism into a  conversation where it does not exist.
There's plenty of reason why a lot of people do not like the current Mayor of London and it's almost entirely due to his politics.
If I shoehorned racism in it must have been very subtle then.
I posed a question and some others have assumed it must be about race.
Absolutely nobody anywhere ever has been critical of Sadiq Khan because of his ethnicity.

People on here and in society in general often moan about him for his politics.
I've yet to see a single poster on here moan about him because of his ethnicity.

    It's all in your head.

You may or may not be correct about posters on CL not attacking him because of his ethnicity. That is certainly not the case in the wider world however.

Not a single poster is it?
How about the second to last post on this thread which got half a dozen likes?

It was obvious that was what was being implied.

And of course people have been critical of Khan based on/ influenced by his ethnicity in the same way many are critical of others based on other prejudice such as class and educational privilege....no one has denied that but your implication is that Andy Burnham gets treated with more leniency because of obvious distinguishable characteristics is passive aggressive nonsense if you're now pretending this wasn't what you were implying.

Not everyone or everything is racist and I'd argue the vast majority in this country are  not  whilst racists do still exist of course.

Constant victim mentality you have when you deliberately stoke the fire with these sort of comments then play the innocent victim when challenged or called out on it.

Please for your own sake Seth sort this out as it's unhealthy.
    Unsurprisingly I disagree with you.
Leaving aside the Khan/Burnham aspect of things just for a moment, I believe it is not unhealthy but healthy to be woke to any racism.
I am afraid I do not believe as you do that it is the ‘vast majority’ who are not racist.
I think it is a dangerous minority.
  • Soooo,
back to e-scooters. Not the favoured mode of transport for Russian generals now i should think.
  • Keeping on topic, The ebikes were out in force in Sadiqs central London last night, robbing everyone in their path that dared to get their mobile out. Unfortunately one seemed to come unstuck and took a bit of a pasting on kings cross road.

  • I thought that we had made big steps forward in this country when it came to racism.

But if you use my methodology of working out who is racist, it's got to be the vast, vast majority and I'm scared.

Using Seth logic, if you didn't vote for Sadiq Khan and Rishi Sunak you're a racist, meaning by my quick calculations about 95% of the London population are racist.

    Truly terrifying.

Andy Burnham fights for his people and his region. Look at his response to the lockdown measures.

Sadiq Khan does not appear to want to.understand what large number of his people want e.g. safer streets.

Don't try to apply to me something that isn't true.
  • Sadiq must be doing a good job or he wouldn’t keep getting voted in.
Trump’s just been voted back in. It means nothing.
  • Criticism of Khan has absolutely nothing to do with race whatsoever.
Plain and simple, he is just a very poor Mayor and London continues to suffer.

I wouldn’t trust your quick calculations your 95% of London are racist because they didn’t vote for khan. How the hell did he win. Thick you should stick to using a calculator.
Re-read my post and the criteria. A cog might actually tick, I won't hold my breath though.

  • A "devastating" e-bike battery explosion has destroyed a family home days before Christmas, London Fire Brigade (LFB) has said.

The fire service has warned e-bikes can be "incredibly dangerous" after the fire in Renshaw Close in Catford, south-east London, on 14 December.

LFB said the e-bike had been converted from a conventional pedal cycle by having a battery pack fitted to it, and was being charged at the time of the fire.

These “modified” bikes are commonplace and illegal.

  • Saw the po-po doing a raid on Luton High Street yesterday, caused carnage with the traffic but gave me the chance to watch what they were up to, must have bought at least 50 e-scooters out of this house, I assume they were stolen given what Luton is like now being the Mos Eisley of Medway.

I don’t think they are an awful thing however like Staffordshire bull terriers and XL bullies after them, they attract arseholes to own and to be attached to them
