Just caught up with all of this.

Blimey, it looks like some peoples pants got a double drenching tonight. First people were wetting their knickers that we hadn't signed anyone and then they were wetting them again because we did sign someone.

    Helmets.

I doubt those lads even have a helmet.
  • A few hours ago we were knocked back on signing Josh Morris.

With hindsight, a very lucky event as instead we have a far superior player and much younger.

This has been an excellent window methinks.

    Rock on Tommy.

Happy with that he looked good against us.. Swindon fans are fuming looking at the comments!
I really wont be surprised if they struggle... They have every right to be pissed off
    Yep, they’ve been flying
  • Am I the only one to never notice opposition players?
Nope , I’m with you but put it down to old age

but once they sign for us all of a sudden I have huge recollection....
what a player he is ,  one that stuck out when we played them and I always hoped we’d sign him , something along them lines always seems to happen

I don’t think many can honestly say they knew who he was
How can you watch a game and not be aware of opposition players? I’m not saying all but you’d remember ones that catch the eye surely. DJ is one of those, as was, for example, Baah.

Sage, as someone who wanted Maddison at Cafc years ago your insider information wasn't needed on this occasions.

It was so patently obvious that MM and Bowyer wasn't going to work within a couple of weeks.; at 27 a very useful lower division player had lost his way totally.

Marcus Maddison was going to either be a great signing or a complete disaster. I was hoping for the former.

    Sadly it was the latter.
Was he even give an opportunity for it to be either?

Losing Williams and Maddison on the same day seems...odd.
It was transfer deadline day though...

  • Change of tactics from bowyer playing with wingers more now than the diamond. Has millars good displays changed this because the last good winger we had Fosu was sold because we played narrow with diamond
  • So... any room in the cap for a free agent?

Now he’s gone (probably permanently eventually) I’m happier than I was originally to reveal that a week into joining us, Maddison contacted my daughter on a dating app and wanted to meet her etc, wisely & luckily (for him) she knocked him back, her words were, she thought he was “fit” 😳 but, he came across as a bit of a knob.
I’m in no way suggesting that had any bearing on Bowyers decision to let him go, but I’m claiming it 😄
He done the same to a girl my mate was seeing and ended up shagging her. Needless to say they aren't seeing each other anymore
Was your mate a charlton fan? That would cut deep if he was
  • Decent window and despite the emotional attachment to Williams, it made business sense and Football is a business.

I do think on paper will look stronger and more dynamic but time will tell.

Nope. I'm just the same. Only ones I notice are ones that are well known.......although I did take note of the lad at QPR who ran Pearce ragged in the 2nd half at their place when we draw 2-2. Double barrelled Osi-Samuel (or suchlike).
i'm the same although i did notice the fella who ruined smyth at RWB and noticed he has had a big move this window

Apparently being pissed off at what looks like bad news and then cheered by good news is a sign of hypocrisy, not a normal reaction.

I'm just sorry we didn't get that Barnsley midfielder over the line.
Try reading the whole thread Chief.
This is what it was like on here 10-11pm.....

    Pathetic
I was on the thread, chief,  and what I saw was people who were understandably worried by the shipping out of two players and no sign of any incoming.

I don't really get this pleasure in slagging off  other fans for daring to voice their opinions and concerns.  On a forum.

All I saw where people complaining that Sandgaard wasn’t matching whatever number came into the heads of the owners at Exeter, petulant children everywhere
That's one way of looking at it I suppose.  Like you say petulant children every where.
  • Not signing a defender is a risk but one that has presumably allowed us to bring in players further forward. That's what this cap does... Hard decisions have to be made & I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us
