Doughty will go if we get offered the money we want by the end of the window -either way, we are going to have a crack at promotion and we have to trust Gallen and Bowyer to know the players that can do that for us. They've done it once, they can do it again.
Although i'd assume it's in his interest to sign for someone sooner rather than later, as clubs will simply sign other options instead of waiting for him.
Quite possible he'll try again but a bigger risk given the impact of Covid19 on squad size and wages.2 -

Interesting as those comments are quite unlike Bowyer
Bowyer like a player with good 1st touch, quick feet and able to pass and move.0 -

I presume that is a no deal now despite Bowyer's public comments.
I was responding to @SwingForward's comment as it goes against what Bow said yesterday0 -

We're not in need of cash now, so do not need to sell him.
Maybe he's waiting to see if a championship comes along and if not will sign his contract offer from the club.
If I were Bows I'd want him to show a bit more commitment to the club and help us to win promotion.
I'd be a rotten sod and threaten to withdraw his contract offer, forcing him (or his agent) to find a club or spend the next season not playing while his contract is winding down.
But then that's why I'm not a football manager and Bows is.
that Bow had lost patience with him and his waster agent and told him
he could go?0 -

I'm not sure we have got such a good deal there. strikers under 25 with 1 in 3 records in the championship go for around 10m. I really liked bonne, and he will do well I think.. the 1 thing perhaps against him is a bit of a lack of pace..1

Initially I heard that his Danish club wanted to loan him for a fee but then accepted a bid. Player agreed terms but then the nitty gritty of the deal has broken down. I’m fairly confident that’s correct.5

I liked Bonne as well.
I’m hoping I like his replacement even more.4 -
Hopefully with the pressure on going into the last days of the window, Schwartz forces the move. Is the 6th the deadline for all European transfers too? In case he has a backup to go elsewhere on the continent0

And pace is the main attribute you want as a striker if you aren't a Magennis or a Carroll.6 -

I think it was LB who said last year that you get quoted 1m when you enquire about National League strikers.1 -

Nice guy, decent forward, but he really wasn't looking like setting the World on fire for us.
Wish him well at QPR, hope he scores a few and is seen as a perfect replacement for Benteke at Palarse who pay £30m for him, giving us a tidy sell on.2 -

"The South London Press report the fee as high as £2m, though that would presumably involve a lot of clauses and add-ons ....."
I guess that £700K could be a first instalment but the guaranteed figure will surely be substantially more than that.0 -

https://www.tsn.ca/canadian-international-liam-millar-making-his-mark-in-the-liverpool-ranks-1.1486525His father, Alan, played several years for England's Charlton Athletic before an injury cut his career short. Growing up, Liam played for Brampton Youth SC and North Mississauga.
I don’t recall an Alan Millar playing for us. When was it and what position?2
