Sitting behind the goal in North Lower, we had the sun in our eyes as Cullen went to take the early second-half corner. We agreed high and looping was the best option and luckily Cullen obliged.
Also, just seen Bowyer's post match interview and enjoyed him tearing into a journalist that suggested maybe he used as different formation because of the 'poor results leading up to the international break.' Made me smile.

It's because he tries stuff other defenders won't. Little dinks over the top, balls with the outside of his boot etc. When they come off they are spectacular. If they don't it can look stupid but doesn't really cost us much. I don't want him to stop trying them even if they don't come off.at home it's a great weapon to have.

Naby Sarr is turning into a decent CB in the Championship. The pass to Williams was sublime and he was immense today, so a couple of passes go astray in the Oppositions half ! What about the 30 passes that found a cafc shirt.

Couldn't disagree more. He always tries to make incisive passes, and there is a courage about it. I would have that every day than the no risk passing you normally get from a centre half.

What a great performance - a fantastic win for my dad who has had major surgery on his knee, and recovered to drive a couple of hundred miles to support the club (as he has since the 60's) and to leave so happy today. Wow.

I thought JFC was napping a bit, ball was quite close to him. One other ambitious croofiels went astray but rather he tried them.

Derby came out of the blocks fast and I thought we were in for a tough day but we attacked and the ball fell to Bonne who finished excellently after just 5 minute or so and that settled us down.
This, as I seem to say every week, was a fine team performance to which they all contributed. However I want to mention one individual, Darren Pratley. He does the dirty stuff so well. The incident that stuck out for me today was a tackle he made reminiscent of Steve Brown's tackle back in the 1998 play off final. The ball fell to another Charlton player and from the resulting attack Bonne was denied a deserved second goal only by an excellent save by the Derby goalkeeper. A shame Quest didn't show that on the highlights.
It was pleasing that we didn't sit back and invite them onto us having taken the lead. I was pleased for Naby that he scored at the Covered End and Conor Gallagher's goal was worth the admission money on its own.
Near enough 40% of the way to where we need to be after today. Professional job well done. These boys put their bodies on the line for the shirt and it is great to watch.
We’re getting better every week in a campaign where there doesn’t appear to be any stand out teams amongst the top 10 or so, lol at this post if you want but there could be a genuine chance of top six if injuries and most of all January (Roland being a c*nt) are good to us.
