  • How many teams are going to whip the ball behind the back four and score...that is bloody basic stuff...we have no strikers and no-one with the ability up front to create anything for our no goal scoring striker..when are some of you going to wake up to the fact that we are simply not good enough....add to that I am on the train home to even bigger disillusioned pompey fans ..they think they have cracked the nut beaten us...

No surprise. Same old Charlton. Always guaranteed to let us down on the big occasions!
Found the whole performance tedious beyond belief. Repetitive shite that wasn't working but still we persevered with it. Utter crap
  • Plenty of effort and desire to get something from the game. But we still have pieces from the jigsaw missing in depth.

Probably deserved a point but we are too predictable and inflexible with our rigid 4-2-3-1.

Four games ago we were on course for 92 points and now only 81 (and falling fast).

I don’t think we did deserve anything from it.

We lacked creativity, Portsmouth did us tactically I felt as you pointed out our 4-2-3-1 is too predictable

Worrying signs over the last few games if we’re honest
Great, I'm really looking forward to Ewood Park next week now :disappointed:
Weather not looking great for Lancashire.

I missed their goal while getting a burger. What happened?

Usual 5/10 mins after half time sleepy performance. Couple of ineffectual headers back across pur own box, needless fk which was whipped across the 6 yard box and was bound to hit something and go in
  • Pointer for the players, if you shoot you might score, if you don’t shoot you WONT FUCKING SCORE!!. Try it at training then bring those new skills to the game.

I agree, but the proviso for this is that you have to be near the goal to shoot, which unfortuantely we have a problem with at this current moment in time.

If it stays like it is at the moment up here it'll be like playing in a freezer that needs defrosting big time

  • Not a prayer of top two. I suppose any place 3rd - 6th will do but that’s looking no better than 50/50. Window coming up but Matt Godden is not going to make the difference.

Got a stinking cold and sat there frozen and miserable.

Godden wont be signed... another season at this level with another go next season IF we have new owners
Don’t bet on that about Godden.

Hats off to the Pompy fans throwing glass bottles and coins across the platform when there were only about 12 Charlton fans left on the Kent bound platform. Glass bottle smashed about a foot away from a disabled man and coins only just missed some kids.

    Classy.

Also well done to the old bill for just letting it carry on whilst concentrating 15 police officers on the 3 Charlton fans between 16-50 on the Kent bound platform. Definitely was important to film them rather than those throwing stuff.

    Fucking shambles.
  • What happened with Meire on the pitch... was she booed?
  • Sounds like we've really missed Fosu.
  • Magennis is pants.
    Play KAG from the start.

  • Holmes needs to be dropped imo. According to previous games he has been poor and today proved it. The ball he played across should have been drilled with the hope it hits someone at least! Thought Aribo was one of the better players, composed on the ball and strong in the tackle, Sarr does try to do to much but when no one else is offering anything at 1-0 down, go for it lad!
I like Robinson but the subs were to late. Pompey were shit and will lose more games than they win playing like that, just we had no killer instinct.

Coaching role beckons for you my friend

Yes. But then swiftly sent back to being irrelevant as the former players were introduced on the pitch.

    Killer Killer Killer
Paddy Powell, Derek Hales and CLive Mendonca are not just 'former players' !!
  • Plenty of early possession that ultimately produced zip. Can,t blame individuals but a few of the better opportunities created were screwed up with heavily over hit final ball ( Holmes no 1culprit). Thought Sarr was one of the few who can take his pay with head held high. The short period Best was on the pitch he showed more attacking flair than the rest did in 90 minutes. He should have come on earlier and we should have gone 442.

Top two long gone, and in a few weeks play offs may well be the same. Not winning is becoming a habit.

Lacklustre, too many of them having an off day, can only give Clarke credit, we’ve been way below average last 3-4 games.
