The UK exports more to the Republic than to the USA so I believe.
The UK exports nearly 3 times as much to the USA ($61.6bn approx) than it does to Ireland ($22.9bn approx).
The USA is the UK's largest single export destination.
How is that possible? I thought one of the reasons the morons voted for Brexit was so we could do trade deals with the rest of the world!
By selling/exporting more stuff to the USA than they do to Ireland? Bit of a hunch/guesswork, I know, but may have legs.
Whoosh!
I think you whooshed yourself.
Don't think so. You don't seem able to post anything without a heavy dose of sarcasm of late. Bit like a 15 year old discovering sarcasm for the first time. It is tiresome and boring when adopted by a grown man.
Coming from the serial petulance offender, that's some compliment.
You seem incapable of posting without a churlish comment. Most likely born out of your inferiority complex. If you shout, scream, wave your arms about like a spoilt kid and generally be a bit of a dick towards people, it doesn't make you sound grown up. It accentuates your childlike manner.
Pot kettle? Amazing that you, with your posting history on here, think you can comment on dickish behaviour by other people!
Also amazing that you, a Millwall supporter, probably make more posts on this forum per month than I do. By this time next year you will have made more posts on here in total than me even though I have been a member since 2009 and you have been a member since 2012.
That'll teach me. I'm certain to have a rethink based on that criterion.

If only there had been more people to take heed of precisely that sentiment instead of being suckered into believing the Leave liars' rhetoric.

BBW provides opinion on here and engages with those who disagree. Millwall or not, that alone is a damn sight more insightful than the usual 'edgy bois' posting grauniad articles or sharing tweets from that days twitter hero.

Posting snarky sarcastic comments is not providing opinion or engaging in debate.
I have found many of articles posted by NoirenIrish, and others, extremely enlightening. There are countless Brexit articles in the Guardian written by a wide range of journalists, experts, commentators and politicians. If I see something of interest in the Guardian, or any other publication, I, like many posters involved in this thread, will post it here. What is the problem? Are you only able to read something if is written across the side of a bus?
Thanks for your contribution though. I will bear it in mind next time I post a link to a story in the Guardian. Just like I always think of Chippy whenever I post such links or use Google to verify facts and sort out fake news from real news!
Tv and especially ITV have history on dumbing down for viewers to lap up or froth at. I hope this is another example. If people watch this type of “entertainment “ and genuinely like it I fear for the future.
The girl pretending to never have heard of Brexit must have been putting it on
I'm not so sure about that, I doubt my little sister has ever read a newspaper or watched the news out of choice. I bet she's not alone.
It's really sad but I imagine she's far from alone
No idea how old your little sister is, I honestly do not believe there is an adult in this country that hasn't heard of Brexit. The girl in this video is far more likely to be playing up the ditzy blonde thing to win a popularity contest.

I think you're certainly right that she's probably playing on her stupidity, but I imagine there are a lot of adults who know nothing about brexit, although I concede they will have certainly heard of it.

I think we can say with 100% certainty there are plenty of adults who know zip all about Brexit and the implications for our country. See [insert name of your favourite Leaver/Remainer Lifer] posts for an example.

And on that basis would you say it’s ok for them to vote?
Tricky one, it's not ideal but I think on balance I think it probably scrapes over the 'ok' line. Just. I've often wondered (usually in the quieter moments at my polling station, just after I've dealt with someone especially dim) whether there shouldn't be some test of competence and understanding before people get the vote. On balance though, I reckon that the problems of enforcement, disenfranchisement and potential corruption outweigh allowing a few dimwits to put a cross on a piece of paper. Hopefully the majority of ignoramuses won't be too motivated to show up anyway.

Completely I don't find ignorance attractive in any way shape or form.
Not sure what it's like in China, but a mate of mine went to school in London and west Africa. Said the culture was entirely different at school. In Africa there was a culture of success, all the kids wanted to be the best, top all the exams, have the smartest uniform etc. In the UK, being clever and successful was the opposite of cool. It's holding us back.
3) Whole UK (including NI) leaves the EU/SM/CU and we impose border controls which couldwill probably, in the view of the PSNI, given the ongoing security threat in Northern Ireland include security checkpoints.

Although you may disagree with a lot of what some people write/believe on this thread, clearly everyone here has enough of an interest to take part in the debate (you may be able to exclude 1 or 2 leavers) that, imo, puts them streets ahead of many, many people.

We let anyone procreate, seems fair to let them vote. I think you're right though, most dimwits probably couldn't find the polling station.

You're right. Very slippery slope if you start getting prescriptive about what people can't do.
Anyone who makes the effort to go to a poling station to vote deserves that right. I have more of a problem with people who cannot be bothered to vote but moan about the state of everything.

We make math and science compulsory at school, why not politics?
