Looking at Holmes's Twitter it'd be quite bizarre to see him leave now after he's been interacting and bantering fans over the contract. I'm still confident he'll stay.
I have been talking too and bantering with a manager at my place today..............I am sacking him at 2.30!!
I fully expected Holmes to be long gone by now and still think it is only being delayed to the last minute for PR purposes. I just have no idea why he would stay with us given the option of Championship football with a well run club.
But IF he does stay it would be grounds for genuine optimism given he probably knows more about the inner workings of the club than any of us.

If this is true, that is brutal and you deserve a backhanded full blooded swing in reply from the guy concerned... Especially if a single joke this morning was about sacking him.
Fortunately the rumours of Holmes appear untrue at this stage.

So if anybody on here has a boss called Mike who is a Charlton fan and sits in the East stand.......
Oh hang on a second my boss Michael wants a quick word .....be right back......

Says his priority is Rb and GK, surely he needs a left sided defender?
It'll be interesting to get a full list of the 25, as that will indicate which of the younger players are in contention for the main squad. He mentioned Dijksteel, KAG and Barnes, but not the likes of Edwards, Hanlan or RCC
Seems next time I hear about Reeves coming I won't bother posting and making myself look silly. Obviously he won't be signed by the end of the week now going on what Cawley has reported, but I still do know that it's closer than people may think. This meeting with his agent may just be the final details before all going ahead.
Signing Dasilva is a fantastic signing and really encouraging. I am a bit disappointed he won't be with the group until his England duties are finished but we know we can start the season with a solid back four now.
It's a shame we won't be signing someone like Wilson or Byrne to cover Solly, but I am sure whoever it is will be good enough for back up.
Get these players over the line, and we may only need one or two more before we are finished.
GK, RB, Dasilva, Reeves, re-sign Holmes, possibly another centre midfielder, and get in another winger, which could be Stewart depending on how he does in this "training, not a trial".
I am hoping that taking Sarr for example to Ireland is to keep him fit enough to be able to get rid of him as soon as. Unfortunately, other clubs aren't like us, they tend to sign players who are fit.
Sarr has to be kept fit and you should never totally give up on a player until they are either sold or do something that makes their involvement with squad untenable (punch the manager or something). For the time being Sarr is a Charlton player and I don't know if KR will have ever seen him play so, unless he can be sold, I hope he is involved in the preseason games and give a chance to stake a claim for a place in the team.
I've seem him play in the flesh once and he looked absolute dog shit, but for him to have French international experience and been at Sporting there must have been something there at some time and he wouldn't be the first or last player to recover from a horrible period in his career to eventually be decent. I do doubt that will be with us but just freezing him out completely would be pointless.

Still think not moving on the high earners like Sarr, Tex and maybe Cebellos will hinder KRs transfer dealings although Igor has gone back to STVV.
Kashi is on big money but could be a big talent. He's fit but how long to be match ready

Robinson is expected to hold further talks with the representative of Milton Keynes’ attacking midfielder Ben Reeves today.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of this month.
Charlton’s interest has been there from the end of last season, with a meeting taking place at their Sparrows Lane training ground in early May.
