Malvididi in talks with Wigan about a loan deal according to currant bun.
We've enquiried too but wenger won't release until the end of their tour. He likes to keep his squad together until as near as the end of pre season as possible. Then he'll sort a move. Expect news this coming week and I'd hope he joins.

Karl wants him
Fits in with KR talking about being patient and talking up Novak, he will probably only be allowed to go if a striker comes in (or Watt).
When asked about transfers after the Stevenage game Karl Robinson's exact words were:
'I'd like to think we can do something in (sniff), two or three. Errm, we're just working so hard behind the scenes to get, to do so and erm you don't always get what you want in football, have to be a little more patient sometimes'.
Ever heard that before?
After the Greenwich Borough game last week the very first thing Karl Robinson did after shaking hands with the opposition manager was to go straight up to Hackett-Fairchild, hugging him around the shoulder walking off with him and talking to him.
There are interpretations of that, none of them sinister in any way, but there were other good performances in that game too, yet his first instinct was RHF. Robinson has stressed the company line about bringing on the youngsters and it is beginning to look as if barring a goalkeeper, and maybe the forced signing of Stewart for the injured Marshall that our transfer dealings are now over. Robinson also said after Stevenage that he didn't anticipate anybody leaving, but I don't think he was referring to loans.
Not even a rumour. Just some guy called Ryan White saying we should buy Chelsea's longest serving player that's never played.
If we were to go for a Chelsea keeper I would prefer Jamal Blackman. Although my real hope is that we might go after Connor Ripley after Randolph's move to Boro.
Perhaps this is the reason we have been holding out on offering a deal to Stewart. If there is only budget for one player in that part of the pitch then Stephy is a better option that Cameron as he can play out wide but can also be 3rd choice in the number 9 role behind Mag and Novak.
I'd be disappointed if we didn't sign Stewart but if we get Mavididi then I think we will have adequate cover in attack.
Who is Mavadidi going to replace in the team, because the only way he comes is if we guarantee him playing time. If he's sitting on the bench, he's not getting the experience Arsenal will want to develop the player.

Well Marshall is injured so he is guarantees at least a spot on the bench. Fosu may well prove to be our best number 10 and so he starts out wide. He covers 3/4 positions on the pitch so is always in with a chance of playing. It's about having a squad who can all do a job. Depth has always let us down.
We have seen what Watt is capable of - both positive and negative. If he plays as well as we know he can, he is too good for this league. I know there is no guarantee he will, but he may. It is a real challenge to both Watt and Robinson to make this happen.
I have to say how much I liked what I saw with Fosu on Saturday. He is well above this level in terms of ability - take it from me if you haven't seen him. Excellent touch, good passing, good energy, great balance and good strength too.
On Watt I'm not sure how he fits into KRs system. We've seen before he doesn't suit playing as a lone striker. He can be too greedy while he also looks to drop deep or move out wide leaving us without an outlet up front.
I don't see him playing behind the striker where we want someone that can pick a pass. Out wide I can't see him tracking back or putting in good crosses.
He looked worse last season than he did in the league above. I can't help but think he's one of those players that looks better than he really is. So often he used to beat a few players without it being in a dangerous position and it doesn't lead to anything.
All reports on Fosu from Saturday sound very promising. I just wonder if he that good why was he coming on from the bench more often than starting in League 2 last season.

I can see Watt being used as a back up option in the number 10 role, (he played there in 1 pre season friendly) possibly in games where we want to go more direct. JFC and kashi can both pick a pass so he may get away with it there. I also see him being a regular off the bench if we want to change the system to go 2 up top or we want someone to run at and scare tired defences in the last 20 mins of a game.
With Robbo now stating we might have to sign a couple after the season starts, I guess this fits in with the fact Arsenal usually loan their players out from mid-August onwards so we may still be in for Mavididi.
The issue this creates is that if we don't get him, we have to panic sign just before the deadline.
The other thing is that it's probably bull, and Robbo will say we just missed out and Kennedy/KAG will be part of the attacking midfielders come early September.
Fosu sees himself as more of a Number 10 than a winger, so someone like Mavididi may be more of a priority than a Ben Reeves?
I would love to See Mavididi back along with Holmes, Fosu & Marshall the defenders would not get a moments rest and we should create more chances than last year.

He's certainly being used more than any other kid from the Academy including Konsa.
