On Watt I'm not sure how he fits into KRs system. We've seen before he doesn't suit playing as a lone striker. He can be too greedy while he also looks to drop deep or move out wide leaving us without an outlet up front.
I don't see him playing behind the striker where we want someone that can pick a pass. Out wide I can't see him tracking back or putting in good crosses.
He looked worse last season than he did in the league above. I can't help but think he's one of those players that looks better than he really is. So often he used to beat a few players without it being in a dangerous position and it doesn't lead to anything.
All reports on Fosu from Saturday sound very promising. I just wonder if he that good why was he coming on from the bench more often than starting in League 2 last season.
Watt is going to have to adapt and improve his game one way or another, but I don't think that is necessarily beyond him. Wasn't his best game for us in the last couole if years away at Bolton last season where he had to play up front on his own due to us being down to 10 men?
With Robbo now stating we might have to sign a couple after the season starts, I guess this fits in with the fact Arsenal usually loan their players out from mid-August onwards so we may still be in for Mavididi.
The issue this creates is that if we don't get him, we have to panic sign just before the deadline.
The other thing is that it's probably bull, and Robbo will say we just missed out and Kennedy/KAG will be part of the attacking midfielders come early September.
KAG will be one of the attacking midfielders, and based on performances in pre-season it is fully deserved. I wouldn't want to rely on him as a week-in week-out starter but we should be using him as an option from the bench / backup. I would be happy with him as 4th choice winger

I watched KAG twice, thought he was decent one game and poor the other. I haven't ruled him out, inconsistency is to be expected of youngsters, I suspect Fosu will be exactly the same.
It doesn't even need to come down to 4 wingers and 2 10's when the likes of Fosu could play both. Starting team (when fit) at the minute is IMO: Holmes, Clarke, Marshall I see Fosu as back up to all 3 at the minute, could have KAG as one of the other options, certainly need another, possibly 2.
Less than 2 weeks until the start of the season, and proper rumours very thin on the ground. I suspect Robinson will be selecting his starting 11 v Bristol Rovers from the current squad.
It appears Fosu has played well in pre season.... But makes you wonder how he wasn't a guaranteed starter in league two? Is he that good?
You have to bear in mind the standard of opposition we have played and that he has only been performing in friendlies so far. Young player and a year older no too. Perhaps we are playing a system which better suits him too.
Magennis is going to have a rival in the articulate interview stakes at Charlton, and that threat comes from an emerging Aaron Barnes who interviews very well too.
Andrew Crofts has bagged the 'King of the Cliché' jersey for as long as he wants to stay.
We need another striker but not because Magennis isn't good enough by the way.
Yeah they both come across very well in inerviews. Isn't Aaron Barnes' dad a doctor? I think I might follow him on Twitter. Forster-Caskey is quite articulate as well. Josh also comes across as one of the nicest guys in the world.
I've got to say, apart from maybe Watt, who seems to have knuckled down this summer, we don't have any real bad eggs in our squad.

I don't think Barnes' dad will be as interesting to follow as Delort's was
I'll stick my neck out and say Fosu is a great signing - so I wanted four decent signings and now think we need three. I think Stewart needs to be brought in to compensate for the Marshall injury. So maybe a striker and a keeper now.
On the striker front, playing one up front, we have to hope Magennis can do the job and stay fit. Novak, I need convincing about. The other thing is goals through the team. JFC may be an important player in that respect and we have centre halves who can score so maybe it will be better.
Think we'll only get 4 if we sell / loan out one of our strikers.
Really hope Stewart signs. He can play on both wings and is the best crosser of the ball in our squad. As good as Holmes is (for goals and driving us up the pitch etc) he doesn't have same quality delivery as Stewart which the likes of Magennis would benefit from hugely.
Back onto discussing no10, for the umpteenth time. This thread is painful, at least on the other non charlton rumours people get the idea and don't go of the topic too much or have a discussion over pointless things.

If it's that bad you find have to open it.
I do for actual rumours, the bitesize thread is good and to the point but this is the polar opposite. just making an observation as 100 + unread and not a lot more to add and going over the same conversation every 10 pages.
