I’m out and about in West Sussex, hence delayed response. I have two sources for the fact the buyer and seller have reached agreement. I don’t have 100 per cent confirmation of who the buyer is.
Don’t expect an official announcement yet because there is something to be done that won’t affect the agreement. I would speculate it may be around the directors’ loans, which had not been addressed two days ago, but that’s a guess. The directors’ loans do not need to be addressed to do the deal but the buyer may want clean title on acquisition.
So by done deal you mean not a done deal.
Well if a figure is agreed between buyer and seller it sounds like a done deal all bar the shouting.
Which is just another description for a deal which isn’t done yet.
I’m as tense as when Shaun Newton took his Wembley penalty......so you all know just how I’m feeling. I can’t even bare watching the replays as I’m still sure he’s going to miss!
John Robinson. I can’t remember it clearly now but remember it being weak and easy for the keeper....if the keeper went the right way
Did Robbo not take his pen with a broken leg? They found out after the game that he had a hair line fracture. Rock hard Johnny!
There's feck all wrong with Beige chinos and suede slip on hush puppies. I'm being bullied Admin........... Oi Tone, text me Tom @ SE9 phone number, when you finished packing!!!
If 45 mill means a clean break with all debt cleared and no conditional payments or hold over land etc. Then I'd take it. Even if I think it's wayy more than the club is worth and it annoys me he will make money out of it.
Hopefully that's £45m, the lot. Full and final settlement and Duchatelet has no further financial interest in the club, no contingent payments or player sell ons, nothing else to pay. If so, it's still something like a £10m haircut at least on his Staprix loans.

It really is happening.

Also if someone is prepared to pay £45m they clearly have money to burn IMO. These new owners could go either way...
Either we're being taken over by a reckless madman or more preferably by some seriously wealthy backers to whom £45m is a drop in the ocean...
