They have said they have made mistakes, which implies mistakes in actions, but I find it inconceivable that Katrien would acknowledge that anything she has actually said was a mistake.MuttleyCAFC said:Yes. She has said things that she can't take back. And the fact she continues to be employed says everything you need to know about the owner!

I reckon we'll struggle to find a quote from squirrel face saying "I", often "we" though.seth plum said:

She needs to appoint a new chairman soon. She can't go into too many of these meetings without a human shield to bail her out/intercept the missiles.ElfsborgAddick said:

Club using the meeting and comments by East Kent's limp chairman as propaganda as expected, along with the puppy target 10k group. Makes you want to vomit that people like these can sell other fans down the Thames.11

The divide and rule plan appears to be on track. Makes me want puke reading that article.5

There was no mention of the South Stand at our meeting and, frankly, what do you expect the Chairman to say. What he said is true, there was some tough questioning and she did respond positively to it.kentred2 said:Club using the meeting and comments by East Kent's limp chairman as propaganda as expected, along with the puppy target 10k group. It doesn't matter is people believe what KM says but it won't help of fans start lying about meetings now will it?0 -
It's the JIMMY SEED STAND.kings hill addick said:

That what the article is about!!!!!18 -
Surely that's just run of the mill stuff. Is a painted sign gonna attract the further 15k fans the group are aiming for?! Blimey, the target 15k group must be right out of ideas6
-
Nice to see the sign replaced, other than that I don't see why the T20k group would care about that stand!1
-
Totally missing the point. You were all invited there for press releases like that one. The quotation from the Chairman is music to their ears and all but the d d and b know she talks bollocks!kings hill addick said:

Target 20k et al need to get their priorities right and start taking the club to task over the debacle of the online ticketing system and surcharges for walk ups on the day. Do something useful ffs! Too many cosy chats over tea and biscuits, wake up and smell the coffee

This is the kind of thing that hardly needs trumpeting. Paint the fecking sign. It's not worthy of an article or any kind of praise... it should just be painted when it needs fecking painting. It's the bare minimum. And it shouldn't have had to be pointed out by a committee. That's the problem with these muppets... they want credit for all kinds of irrelevant shite and won't accept responsibility for real lapses in judgement that have created lasting and severe damage to the club.
JUST LEAVE!63 -

Much as I want this and the Sam Bartram sign restored this, this and this.LoOkOuT said:This is the kind of thing that hardly needs trumpeting. Paint the fecking sign. About 3k to put up a new sign that should never have been allowed to fall into such disrepair but it's being talked up like the article 50.
Even then they had to be prodded and poked to even start on it.
Worse thing is the club hasn't even said they WILL replace it. Just that they "work with fans" on it.
So no plan, no money, just a vague "we'll work with fans".19 - Sponsored links:

The money they make from the booking fee on away tickets will more than cover the cost of the sign...Henry Irving said:

roping Slade in to use him as a shield ( and on a match day )is spineless.6

I believe that the SMT couldn't give a toss about Jimmy Seed and I fail to see the connection between Target 20K and the clubs heritage or stadium restoration.
If the club had any compulsion to restore the JS Sign then with the extremely wealthy owner who cares deeply about us and the CEO 'who has a big heart' they would just write the cheque not 'work with supporters groups' to resolve it.
This is bullsh*t and to my mind makes for blatant manipulation of Target T20, the Seed family and East Kent Addicks.
The sign was not the story here the credibility, competency and viability of our clubs ownership was.
How dare they use our clubs rich history to mask their own inadequacies.
Just pay up and refurbish the sign now because I for one am fed up with them taking credit for fan initiatives or Community Trust achievements and passing them off as thier own.

Can't believe you need the Club, Target 10K, Jimmy Seed's grandson et al to get a sign painted. Hardly rocket science. And to spin it with a full story on the OS as to say 'ooh, ain't we great, we going to repaint a sign, aren't we wonderful' just shows how desperate they are. I hope once it's done Target 10k do a survey to see how many extra bums have been put on seats as a result. Is that the best they can do?5

The club's PR reads like someone has remembered, at the last minute, to search and replace "the South Stand" in Cojones' draft with "the JIMMY SEED STAND" (in very shouty capitals). And quick, ring up one of his relatives and get a quote.1

Actually JS's and the museum had been pushing for some action on this and the Sam Bartram stand entrance.AshBurton said:The club's PR reads like someone has remembered, at the last minute, to search and replace "the South Stand" in Cojones' draft with "the JIMMY SEED STAND" (in very shouty capitals). Club need to actually DO SOMETHING before claiming credit but even then they should have done it with out prombting and paid for it.
Put your money where your mouth is, Daisy.6 -
Good work - so not entirely connected to the other meeting then!Henry Irving said:

This belongs in the same dustbin as the new hexagonal goal nets story. Basic estate management is not news. Its just one of many boring everyday tasks that a football club should undertake with a minimum of fuss and bother.
Katrien Meire is yet again seeking credit for something that in any competently run organisation would be taken as the bare minimum expected.24 -
Only in their heads.AshBurton said:

I had already spoken to Jim Dutton about raising the money and we were talking to others who might help.
I still want this to happen but uncomfortable about how it's been twisted.2 -
Work With Fans. That meaningless, preposterous statement appears so many times in the OS article that it starts to sound like something from "The Office" .
The sign needs to be repainted. The fans have pointed that out . Only the club can actually get it painted. The only possible way that this fatuous phrase would have any salience, is if the club was so potless that it could not afford to do it, but a group of professionally competent fans had offered to do it.
Is this what I should understand from the OS article?14
