Sue Parkes states 'I don't hold with protests in any walk of life'. Luckily for her (and the rest of us )there have been plenty of individuals throughout history who have protested to give us the many freedoms we enjoy today.
I know her personally, good family friend; but she does need to remember that we would not have a Club if it wasn't for some form of protest that we as fans held. That is a fact. Not to mention other such protests as you say.
I'm sure the 10 hours is an exaggeration for dramatic (or comic) effect. What we do know for certain is that KM is working far fewer hours than Chris Parkes and far fewer hours than PV did when he held the role.
Put it this way, many years ago I worked on the turnstiles. When I did I would be arriving 30-60 minutes before KM now arrives at games, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot more things she should be doing on a match day than my simple task of taking and counting ticket stubs.
So those million plus people who protested about going into Iraq were a disgrace, as were the Suffragettes. I would imagine this protestor in America was a disgrace too. Causing all that disruption and whatnot.
Pretty disgraceful comparing Charltons situation with those.
I am trying to express that protesting per se is not disgraceful. Sue compared our protests for example to teachers striking, I am also making comparisons and make absolutely no apology for doing so.

I never expect you to
I have made plenty of apologies over the years on Charlton life.
You said that I was comparing the situation at Charlton with the unrest in America, which I was plainly not doing. I was clearly saying that protest has value and is not in itself a disgrace, which is what Sue Parkes said all protests were.
However thank you for enlightening me as to your expectations of me.

The telling thing is that Sue's views aren't shared by people sitting around her in the directors' box, hence the public rows she has had with former directors. A couple of weeks ago I went to see another former director who I won't name but is universally respected. He also supports the protests.
Her views aren't shared by the long-term sponsors who have quit. They aren't shared by staff who have left the club and they aren't shared by many of the staff working there now. They aren't shared by the hierarchy of the community trust and they aren't shared by any of the people who have been there and done it as far as running the club is concerned, which Sue never has.
They are only shared by the small group of people clustered around Meire whose positions are dependent on the regime continuing. So the best thing to do with her is to ignore her.
if anyone wants to know what would happen if the current labour leadership was in charge of anything, look no further than CAFC... Corbyn-esque levels of leadership by meire, only keep around those that agree with you!
The most important lesson we've all learnt by seeing those exchange of messages is the importance of the paragraph.
1. A distinct division of written or printed matter that begins on a new, usually indented line, consists of one or more sentences, and typically deals with a single thought or topic or quotes one speaker's continuous words. 2. A mark ( ¶ ) used to indicate where a new paragraph should begin or to serve as a reference mark. 3. A brief article, notice, or announcement, as in a newspaper.
Some of Sue's comments are blinkered, delusional and downright crass.
"RD is a businessman at the end of the day, I have met and spoken with him on at least four occasions both here and in Belgium. I found him totally reasonable and he listened to my questions and answered honestly."
I wonder how demanding those questions were ? Or were they concerning the quality of the cucumber sandwiches and comfort of the padded seats ?
Dear Mrs P, I publicly apologise for my part in the club's relegation. Had I not been so unruly and selfish, the lads would have secured a top ten placing. I am a treacherous and unloyal specimen and feel so ashamed of my actions that I shall impose sanction upon myself and shall not be attending The Valley next season. I do not wish to sully the enjoyment of such a true and loyal supporter. Hurrah to the Management! Hurrah to the True Believers! Hurrah to Integrity!

The only complete and utter difference between the two is the supporters of the Labour Party are with Corbyn, the supporters of Charlton are against Meire. Other than that, spot on...

The majority of members, not labour "supporters" or voters...
She probably only has one friend, guess who it is!
She does Chris no favours at all, feel for him to be honest.
With respect to Chris, who is obviously a proper Charlton man, he should tell his wife to keep her opinions, no matter what they are, off social media. If he hasn't got the danglies to do that then no sympathy from me. She's making a prick of him and he's letting it happen.
For someone trying to defend Roland against irrefutable evidence he's an arse, the words "I found him totally reasonable" is the definition of damning with faint praise.
All, I wore a Roland out sticker at a home game last season!! I apologise for getting us relegated and feel that my wearing a sticker holds as much blame as sarr falling over on the pitch allowing the opposition to score
