Ok no worries I know my seats paid for. I don't need to justify anything to you. So see you boys in the ground next season. There ain't no way you'll stay away.
How do you know who will or won't stay away? Just out of interest are you aware of current goings on?
ricky_otto please don't insult me. I'm an adult, I've supported Charlton for 35 years. I've been through a lot worse as a supporter. Yes it's not great what's happening and you can protest till your hearts content. It's amazing how simply asking one question leads to an onslaught that I'm supporting the enemy. I've had a lot of shit recently to put things like this into perspective. I don't know Roland, I don't care about Roland but one thing I do know is that the football club is my life and my family and I will support them til I die. And if I want to buy a bloody season ticket for me and my family to support and watch every home game then I will. I'm sure my £580 will comtribute to JBG £16000 a week. Least he might appreciate it enough to clear the first defender when taking a corner. They frustrate me as much as everyone else but I'll still pay and travel the country to support them.

Who is insulting you? I asked you a genuine question and you answered. Thanks.
I agree it's a tough decision - I hate having made my decision to not renew. But whether you renew or don't - if you disagree with the regime - point your ire in their direction, we need to stop digging out fellow fans.
Let's not turn on ourselves. For me this is a "go to Selhurst or not" decision. There's no right or wrong here and it's not a straightforward decision. No one should be demonised for buying a season ticket ffs.

No the way to go, having a pop at our own because he wants to go and take his family to the games IMO.
Exactly, it's each to their own but anyone who buys a season ticket cannot possibly buy into the "support the team, not the regime" thing. They are giving money to the club, i.e. the regime. As far as I can see, the only way to support the team and not the regime is to attend away games only.

I think it's obvious there is a big divide between supporters. I don't have to justify why I've bought my season ticket. And I doubt my £175 will put any dent in his £3.4m loss. I've bought my season ticket and I will still support Charlton home and away. If you don't buy a season ticket and stay away from the Valley then that is your decision and I'm not gonna beg for you to buy one and stay and support your team. The protests are great and I fully support them but I'm not gonna walk out on the team. At the end of yesterday what's changed? Roland is still in charge, katrien still ceo, Riga still head coach, the club still not for sale and we are still second from bottom. To have any impact the protests must continue but this is Charlton and sadly I don't think we have it in us to do that. But as for the whole season ticket thing, I don't think he will notice my £175 plus it's less then I paid last year so he's made a £200 loss from me.

Ironically, many of the team you're not walking out on will probably be walking out on you before your new season-ticket becomes valid as they won't fancy playing in League One or will be cashed in or cut from the budget by Roland.
People must make their own decisions, but why anyone would need to buy a season ticket in March I honestly have no idea.

Fair comments Shorty. You certainly don't have to justify a S/T purchase at all.
As you say there is a big divide - that's never going to change whilst the Belgians are in town. However I'll be interested to see what happens if/when relegation is confirmed - think that will have a big say in the 'undecided camp' - which tells a story in itself to be honest.
Anyway fair play, as I said. Think I might have come across as digging you out yesterday, which wasn't my intention.
Rick Everitt players come and go but I will still be supporting the 11 on the pitch whoever they are. And your right I've made my own decision and bought me and my family our season tickets. Seems you are trying to turn us on each other??

I'm just puzzled as to why you would want to buy immediately that season tickets go on sale AND announce what you are doing on a message board. It's your choice, I am just wondering why you would do that.
You don't have to justify buying at all or the timing, but if you didn't want to do so I am not sure why you would come on here and talk about it in the first place. It seems a bit odd having done so to claim that the discussion is itself divisive. It's in the nature of a message board that people would then question you. If you don't want to answer then fair enough.

Purely as a matter of interest AB, are you renewing your season ticket?

Wasn't you trying to grab attention today yourself??

Fans who wish to continue as they have done for years should not feel backed into a corner by a load of internet bullies.
When I have kids and am hopefully earning more, it is fully in my intentions to take my kids to Charlton.
I was punished the very same way.
