Not knocking them, but I guess they're just "nice" people who don't like to cause a fuss and are happy to shell out £37 for a dry carvery meal with a load of overpaid underperforming "heroes" of theirs.
Much more important that they have a good time. Best not share any conversations with players either. Not the done thing.

As I've said before, I've attended many of these evenings, but gave this year's a wide berth. Again, as I've said before, the organisers deserve a lot of credit, more so this year than any other I have attended. But, the £37 price was one of the things that did put me off, being vegetarian that's alot of money to pay for what is basically a £4 meal, if that.
And, if I was in the company of "that woman" and actually saw people being nice to her......

I loved the old POTY pre premiership days when it was in a pub, no dinner just beers with the players - some cracking nights back then.
Times obviously change, it's a lot more organized(and well done) now, but those unguarded days where more my scene.

Selhurst days before The Valley had a new portakabin we looked long and hard for appropriate venues. I think that we only did the pub one year from memory in Greenwich. Moved it to the Black Prince when Curbs and Gritty were in charge. Pleased that you liked the pub but I got the feeling that it was a bit too lively ud we were to keep the club and players on board.
Please tell me she didn't leave the event without getting an earful from someone.

Some people just couldn't get there. Not all of us baulked at the price and decided it wasn't worth it.
Updating those who were not there, especially at such an event and at the current time is important so we can get an insight into current mood, what the players think etc.
You don't have to provide any information if you don't wish to. I find that attitude a bit odd though. How would those who cannot make the matches keep up if commentary or after match thoughts were not generously provided on here?

Any visit to SE7 costs me approx 2000 pounds, not 37.00, long gone are the days when I could get a 78 dollar standby ticket from Washington and come for the weekend. So for myself, and many other long-distance supporters like myself, any shared information is most welcome. One wonders why anybody would keep anything to themselves.
