We never hit the heights of the last few games , but sometimes you have to give credit to the other team Bolton done there homework and stopped us playing around them , we did it twice and scored bit to many players were below par or tired. The idiots booing Lookman being taken off should be ashamed he is a young lad who looked knacked tonight and to be fair was not in the game it was right to take him of before he got injured ....
Perhaps the fans should direct there anger at two players who let us down big time tonight and that was Jackson and Cousiins , lost the mid battle and created nothing
In the end a fair result we did not lose .......
Ps the ref was an embrassmemt

I would pay good money to see you type these gems out; if you do them without cracking a smile or to stop for a laugh I would commend you sir.
  • Pathetic performance from the players with only a couple of exceptions. Bolton easily the worst opponents we've played all season. They looked completely out of it before we handed them a way back in it. Not to make it to half time after being 2-0 when we were is atrocious. Fucking mad subs from Fraeye (altho fuck the sarcastic cheers for every touch from makienok you clowns). No idea how vaz te has managed to stay on for 90 mins in the last two games after clearly being knackered after an hour in each. I've stood up for ba on here but he was total crap tonight. Ditto for cousins and jackson in the middle. Lookman the only one who looked like creating anything and when he went off we were shit. Have the feeling Tony Watt would have destroyed that Bolton defence. Ridiculous fucking stupid joke of a club - idiots from top to bottom. And let's hear it for bizarro-linesman in front of the east stand. Anyway sorry I don't usually write rants on my phone on the train home but I can't put up with this shit much longer...

Well where to start. Let me try and untangle that mess of a game.

Great start. Bolton looked shell shocked and for the time up to the second goal the front three were working well. A neat second goal and another assist for Vaz Te.

Then we were outplayed. Bolton hit the front early and played off Heskey. Goal for them from us standing off the Bolton player out wide.

Henderson error for the second. Should have saved it.

Second half was similar to the Leeds game in that both teams had chances particularly them.

Solly was good today. The rest of the back four not so good. JBG seriously off form. Jackson commendable but struggled. And having seen the player marks those who are giving Cousins pelters should hold off. Start looking at what he does rather than what he doesn't.

Reza did ok today. Worked hard and showed some neat touches as did VazTe. Lookman sporadic and the decision to take him off was correct. He was beat.

Ba was awful. Twice he could have played Vaz Te in wide and tried a reverse pass. Frustrating.

Ref was shocking as was the East stand lino.

A team that cannot hold on to two goal leads like this has something missing at its core. Whether that is confidence or ability or probably both. Ultimately it has to come down to the manager though and this one is way out of his depth in this league.

First time I've really feared for our survival in this league.

    Berg - couldn't hit a barn door
    Mak - carthorse
Reza - total waste of time
    Sarr - joke

Clueless manager takes off the only bloke likely to score.

    Looky - outstanding
Diarra - another big performance in a very poor defence

    Prepare for League One.
    Target 20,000 EMPTY SEATS

Bit harsh on Sarr, he didn't even play? Did he fail to sit on the bench properly or fall over in his warm up or something?
  • Tactically inept.

No idea with the substitutions and the formation which we ended up "playing"

    The manger must change NOW.

No more chances. We can stay up but we have to get a manger with experience in now.

Poor performances from the goalkeeper through the middle to the front. Hendersons distribution at time is awful.

We only have 1-2 players per game who actually perform. Need 8-9 !!!

  • Please don't give Tony Watt away as Lookman may be out
for a bit, plus they should be tried together.
Could be our last hope and some decent defenders!

    Where on earth to start?

    So.

We have an experienced championship manager in Lennon, and the players of Bolton Wanderers, they're away from home, have no money, players who haven't been paid, and are 2-0 down after 25 minutes. So what they did was roll their sleeves up, press us, not give up, get back to 2-2 by half time and despite us hitting the woodwork Bolton could easily have won that.

What do you reckon Karel, Katrien and Roland? Losing a two goal lead is the new 0-3 is it?

    No.

You have a club in dire straits, but with people who know the merciless grinding nature of this league who were basically better than us. Better than us for all our bits of flash and moments of decorative play. They were better than us viscerally.

So Karels response is to take off Ademola 'hmm he is on a hat trick but he doesn't look interested and he is small, we will be much better with Simon' Lookman. Jacko, the one player with the kind of experience to make some kind of intelligent on field assessment of the situation 'ah Jacko I will hook him, he looks old, and has very little resale value anyway'. Then JBG a player with a bit of trickery, and some nous the way he was cutting in and searching for something second half, Karel takes him off. KAG comes on too late to affect things, but the biggest crime of management of the night was to INSTRUCT BA TO GO ON AND PLAY FOR BOLTON!!!

    The above is true. Seriously.

So? Regime? You can handle all this English football lark can you? If you're not measuring it in results then maybe in attendances?

    Oh hang on.

Of course with two weeks to the transfer window we can assume Karel 'mastermind' Fraeye will stay until our relegation at the end of this season.

    Positives?
Fastest goal I can remember seeing at the Valley for us.
    Lookman.
    Diarra.

I feel angrier than usual tonight.

JBG had a knock, signalled to bench a few mins before, Lookie didn't look injured so maybe Roland got a half time offer he couldn't refuse.

That will be the 31 minutes I missed at the start was it?
  • Two subs which were injuries... As mentioned Lookman went off because of the hamstring; Gudmundsson signaled to the bench stating that he had to come off because he was holding his ankle
  • Trouble is we need a new manager but... The players must be truly fed up with the revolving door and it would not surprise me if this was the reason the likes of JBG look so poor/uninterested. They just see the next laky come in for a few months with no experience/ability.

We have to get a decent, experienced, UK manager the players will instantly look up to and respect and want to play for. Someone like Hasselbaink would have been ideal. Not sure who is left out there still.

We are going down fast, and to me, a squad with JBG, Watt, Bauer, Hendo, Solly, Lookman and Diarra that would be a waste... Not saying they are world beaters but we should be better than 3rd bottom.

You say that as if it's managers that choose the transfers in this regime
  • There's no lack of effort but hard to discern any tactical plan - I lost count of the number of forward combinations we tried yet we didn't create a single second half chance from open play.

Lack of atmosphere doesn't help either, nor does mindless booing of Makienok.

Meanwhile someone smarter than me can explain why Ba was left up at a 91st minute Bolton corner, but Reza was defending.

Fair enough could well be true...but still leaves the question of who signalled Ba to come on.

  • The writing was on the wall MK Dons away when KF just kept putting strikers on in the hope one might score. Clueless.

Lookman was struggling with hamstring, he had to come off, if he left him on and pulled it, KF would be in wrong, can't win.

Saying that, God knows why we stopped playing. We conceded and like Brighton, knew we would give it away.

Second half was predictable and lacklustre. Not blaming the Lino, but my word he was awful!
  • Shocking with the exception of Solly and Lookman. Defending was dire - THD barely got a tackle in and we couldn't clear our lines. Henderson at fault for the second and he seemed reluctant to come for the ball throughout the game. Cousins and Jackson were almost invisible.
Ba and Makienok hopeless when they came on.

Bolton should have won - we seem to have no confidence and can't do the basics.

2 up no nous , discipline shape shocking cousins that's the worst ive seen him , Ba must be cross eyed had 3 decent passing opportunities and chose the wrong one , honestly can't see any light at the end of the tunnel shite times ahead , something has to give ie a full time manager would help .
  • If Roland wants to save money he should sack his latest coach and not replace him. He will get the same results. Maybe let someone on the sofa call a substitution from time to time. Or maybe the CEO like to have a stab at that job and be successful in that role as well.
This is the worst I have ever felt about my club, I cannot see a way forward under the present coach and regime. I think our interim manager might be spending Christmas and new year at home. If you can't beat Bolton after taking a 2 goal lead in the first 25mins you will be joining them in the division below.
We've played 2 poor teams in the past 4 days and have looked like we could never get a result against either.
  • The writing was on the wall MK Dons away when KF just kept putting strikers on in the hope one might score. Clueless.

And even before that, when we signed the coach from a Belgian Sunday League team. Speaks in leaps and boundaries. And this man could be in charge of us for a fairly long period.. Depressing

Bringing on El Hadji Ba and KAG does what exactly? Neither of them have no distinct qualities to bring to the side - absolutely nothing.

    Reza is not the answer.

FFS get Tony Watt back and get an actual MANAGER in.

Shows how poor we are that we can nearly lose a game from two nil up against the worst team in the league. At home.

Thank gawd Bolton settled for a draw late on.

No idea what the Mastermind was doing with the subs or the formations.

Lookman is great but I thought Vaz Te was my man of the Match but he was wasted out wide at the end. Reza looked sharp to

THD is a great prospect but he got done again and again by Feeny including for their first goal.

Hendo and Diarra had possibly their worse games for us.

Heasky showed us what a real hold up centre forward does.

Where do we go from here?

We had so little on the bench, no width or creativity, no wise head or cunning.

We're bottom three again but I'm sure Roland will tell Fraeye that he did well in the first 30 minutes.

We're no closer to finding a new coach because we're not even looking.

The attendances are dropping and so are the players heads.

    Happy fecking Christmas Charlton fans.
