ichard Cawley @RichCawleySLP 8m8 minutes ago Plenty going on at Charlton in terms of transfers bubbling away. Club have agreed a deal with Real Vallodolid for Zak Bergdich. 1 retweet 1 favorite Reply Retweet1 Favorite1 More Richard Cawley @RichCawleySLP 8m8 minutes ago Sounds as if transfer should be wrapped up pretty quickly. He'll get long-term deal.
Richard Cawley @RichCawleySLP 20s20 seconds ago Southend have bid for Joe Pigott. Doesn't meet Charlton's valuation.
Be interesting to see who Joe lines up for next Tuesday then...
We'll have him in the first half and kick the s**t out of him in the second!.
But they won't buy an injured player. If they want him we should let him go. Whilst we've invested a fair bit on him (and paid him well judging by his £50k car) he isn't going to make the breakthrough.
I think we should just let Piggott go if an offers been made (as long as its not peanuts). I cant see him ever being Champ standard, he's been a good lad through our academy and it would be better for his career.

They probable would still pay the £30 quid they've bid for him, his boots are probably worth that.

If it wasn't for Joe they would still be in League 2 now.
He scored late on and had the bottle to take the first penalty in that play off final.
Had a cracking header last night which ended up on the top of the net, Never quite happens for him at Charlton, League 1 and Southend could be a good fit. In the last year of his contract so a little game of Brinkmanship is going on with the Essex team. Imagine we want about 200K and they have offered about 100K. As Luzon said about the rotation of 4 strikers: The great Dane,Igor,Magic feet Tony and i would imagine young Kag. It would be a good move for Pigott, and like Michael Smith at Swindon would have his spells of scoring.
Just thinking about how it might look for qpr at home. Perhaps last nights first half is the biggest clue yet. Charles cook and KAG will be replaced by bergdich and keshi or Jacko; pope by hendo. And that might be it. Then expect rotation at cb with baur and lenglett and up to with igor and perhaps KAG and again with henry for the wing positions if we get him. Then there is cyprien as another option in the middle if we get him.

Don't forget Cousins who Luzon said will play on Saturday.
Gudmundsson, Cousins, Ba or Kashi, Bergdich?
Henry as an option off the bench, and whichever one out of Ba and Kashi who doesn't play as another bench option?
Or Henry on the left cutting in to his right foot (which is a bullet) and Bergdich and Solly as full backs.
If the incoming players coming in do what they say on the tin, it may be hard for Jacko to influence the starting line up.
I think Jacko's role may well be as the next Andy Hughes, which would be pretty influential without necessarily bagging huge amounts of playing minutes. 15-minute cameos, covering when the injury list is long and the odd late goal - plus a real 'Club Captain' regardless of who has the armband on the pitch. If that's all we get because the new signings have pushed him out & are doing well, then so be it. Andy earned his keep, and so would JJ.
Have to agree Jacko's game time will probably be limited now but we shouldn't overlook his finishing ability, especially if goals prove hard to come by with a largely defensive CM pairing. Maybe a few cameos where he's allowed the freedom to arrive late in the box; he's shown he'll always graft too even if he no longer has the engine for a prolonged stint in the engine room.
Back to the rumours...i see that Watford signed another 2 defenders yesterday. I'd now expect Hoban to go somewhere on loan as rumoured earlier in pre season.

Sad, but I can't see him featuring much more now after the string of injuries and apparent falling out with Luzon.Southend have bid for Joe Pigott. Doesn't meet Charlton's valuation.

Where have we seen this before? Just waiting for someone like Ipsiwch to step in and take him from under our noses.

Wouldn't surprise me if we got him in.
Guessing this might be the main language spoken off the pitch....
