In fairness, if you were looking for a short team manager to get you into the Championship play offs he would be a good choice. But we are looking for a Head Coach and not a manager. For that reason alone I can't see it being an English name we've heard of but a European coach used to that set up.
We're not a car crash or a shambles. This is the correct decision. He should never have been appointed in the first place. We were destined for a relegation battle with him. Let's just hope we go for an experienced Championship manager....bring back Curbs.

I'm surprised but not upset and pleased that the owner has had the balls to sack a manager who's lost the plot as well as (reportedly) the dressing room .. This could revive our season
Sadly, because I don't like seeing people fail, this captures exactly how I feel about it. The poor football was one thing but he did seem to have alienated a lot of the players and destroyed some pretty fragile confidence. I just hope we don't get another European nobody.

But Peeters had lost the plot, probably the players and given our present lack of form and performance, most managers in this day and age would have been sacked. You and I know that IF we win the next couple under a new manager, all the hand wringing and crocodile tears over Peeters will stop and there will be joyful posts about how Roland is a genius and the new man a miracle worker .. I also hope that the new man is not another 'network' lapdog but let's wait and see .. Peeters had lost it and now he's gone .. Come on you Addicks !!!!
Shocking decision. A rough run lately but he is tactically aware and has improved the standard of football enormously. Why would another network unknown do any better?

This is absolutely apposite. The club wonders why supporters aren't flooding through the gates and this is it. We can't stay emotionally involved with something that changes with the wind.
It really is time to commit to a manager who knows English football, has been effective at this level and give him the time, autonomy and backing to make it succeed. There is no true accountability without empowerment.
And most importantly, give the supporters something to believe in again, somewhere to leave their heart.
