Will a tribunal award us as much as they did with Jermaine Defoe? Defoe was then an England under-16 and we were awarded GBP1.65 million. Better than a kick in the teeth...
Good luck to him, we get a few quid and he gets experience to further his career. If he gets better then West Ham will have to sell and if he lives up to expectations he's going to be harder to replace for them than us.
Diego Poyet has done the right thing for him. He joins a Prem club, where he has a chance of playing some football & doesn't have to move home, away from friends and family. Good luck to him. I just hope we get a decent fee/terms.
Glad it's over let's all move on and wait for the Diego side to paint his story all roses yet the truth is cafc served it's purpose for him to get to here and money speaks
I won't believe any of the poyet view point because it is irrelevant
I suspect that when it comes to it he will be 'advised' to avoid saying anything about his reasons for leaving.
It is very common for people to promise to spill the beans and then to decide not to when the reality of the fall out is considered.

It wasn't a tribunal that got us that money. Peter Varney had to go to court, with the evidence of West Ham's illegal behaviour.
I am sure Nolan and Noble will see there position at the Hampsters as ok for this coming season while Poyet gets a few games in but will be after there position from the following season, dont forget he is still very young but will get better playing and training with better players, but will be pissed off if he gets loaned out to a championship club

Will be interesting to see how he gets on against the likes of Toure, Silva, Ozil, Hazard, Mata, Cazorla etc. We'll see just how good he is defending those players. West Ham is the right move for him, IMO but I can't see him getting much game time under Big Sam. As others have said Noble and Nolan will be ahead of him in the pecking order

anyone in particular you are thinking of?
Come on, spill the beans.
I can think of lots of examples but one close to home is Alan Curbishley's book. Despite him not promising to tell all I did feel that he could have enlightened us a lot more on some subjects - Parker's behaviour when we sold him being a good example. I think Curbs 'bottled' for the same reason that Poyet will - it will make it harder for him in his career if he is outspoken and, more importantly, critical of someone in the game.

Curbishley's book was poor, was not even revealing player's wages
