byl the Belgian said that Peeters is not a yes man. Well, if he really is not, great for us but he probably won't last longer than a season under RD...... See what happened to SCP and Riga.
When Powell was sacked this was my fear. Some could not understand that it was not Powell being sacked as such that was the issue but why he was sacked and what was becoming off our club.
All them feelings and questions are back and with some proof now. I would be interested in some of the more pro RD like Yanns take on this?
After backing Roland all the way but now I am struggling to counter this piece from dyer
This.
Double this...however, before reaching for the razor blades, I'm gonna enjoy the rest of the summer and await news of our network signings. I say good luck to Bob Peeters. If he's as good as they say he is, it'll be an interesting season. If he's cack, then I'll be voting with my feet. M. Duchalet will get no more of my money. Hey ho....

He could be the next Fergie but if he is being told who to play by Roly then it is irrelevant.
If, as I had suggested at the outset, RD is Aspergic , then treating people as commodities was to be expected. He is an exceptional businessman in industries that only require advanced mathematical logic. My son is a brilliant example. Football is a game essentially about raw emotion. I remain of the opinion that RD will fail in football just as he did in politics. Thanks Alex, you may have opened some eyes, you are a star and I will miss you xx
I think you raise very good points in doubting Duchatelet's ability to effectively manage human beings, as opposed to shuffling commodities around his patently ridiculous 'network'. Dyer has revealed what many of us suspected to be going on. I'm impressed by his flat condemnation of stat-obsessed scouts welded to their computers, and unwanted imports expecting an instant first-team place then throwing a tantrum when not selected. Sadly, we are a long way from establishing the solid foundations required for a serious tilt at promotion.

Don't really know what too say, obviously hoping dyer has exaggerated the story (a lot ) it isn't good ready most of it we already knew , it seems some people are happy to be proved right on here which I find quite sad . It will now be interesting to put these quotes to Roland or katrien , I've not given up all hope because Roland has done some very good stuff so far , I'm also not going to panic to much because still hoping Roland has learned from he's mistakes if he hasn't and we start bringing in players of kocs and thurams ability then I'll be gutted because it will show which way the club is going . I'm gonna continue to back the club and hope for some good news soon with some contracts and transfers. Less optimistic yann than usual lol !
Me ? Personally I will still wait until August before I judge RD decision making and I don't really care much for what Dyer says anyway as he should of pissed off with Powell. Am I worried? Not really it's only a game and your probably right AFKA I tend not to follow the sheep.

Agree with this. No point investing too much emotional energy into it all, it's not as if RD gives a monkeys anyway. If we start the season strongly it'll all be forgotten soon enough. No new season ticket for me though, I'll wait and see how it pans out.
Not good reading that. But then I suppose it's not a great deal we didn't already know;
I think mate you are missing the significance.
You're right, there is little new there that a lot of people didn't already know.
However, that was all based on private snippets rather than public statements. ADs comments are a 100% complete public endorsement that what some people were either saying was their take / or was what they was told, was not infact scaremongering or negativity, but what was actually occurring.
Of course, there will be some (like Scabby) that either have no problem with that, or will simply take the opposite stance to whatever is the popular view. But for many, its a huge concern in how the club they support is being run.
The Assistant Manager publicly speaking out and confirming that is big news.
In all my time following my club, i've never known anyone on the playing side of the club to come out and publicly speak in the press disparagingly about the way the club was being run.
In five months, both the most popular player and the Assistant Manager have done so.
True enough, and it is very concerning. However I don't necessarily see it in itself as the most important issue. RD didn't want Powell and applied pressure to be rid of him, we could see that at the time and hearing it from Dyer doesn't really change much for me. Hearing that Powell was told who to play is also concerning but again, not a surprise. This is all stuff that happened to the non-RD approved management team and it's a bad situation but it's also in the past. I think my main point is I'm far more worried about the ongoing issues; the creation of a lack of harmony in the team caused by RD's meddling in the playing personnel side of the club and the fact he seems to treat even his own men as commodities. Riga was brought in as RD's man, there as a favour to be trusted to do a job. He meshed unbelievably well with the team and the ethos and he's been silently unceremoniously chucked. I find that terrifying. What else could Riga have done? Dyer has speculated that not playing the network players is why he's not got the job, which naturally makes you ask if playing the network players is more important to RD than success on the pitch. If Dyer is right then we can't be anything other than deeply, deeply concerned about the coming season given RD's transfer record. If Dyer is wrong then we still don't know why Riga wasn't given the job and we're still in the dark with a new season looming. I hope RD's scouts find 11 superstars and Peeters leads us to promotion next season but I can't help but feel more worried by Dyer revealing the tangible effect RD is having on the squad with a number of the players who kept us up leaving.
It's getting harder and harder to stay optimistic about Roland's "project".
All will depend on what Roland and Katrien actually do about strengthening the starting 11 as well as the squad, and whether it becomes clear that Bob Peeters (or whoever becomes Head Coach) is has the nuts to do things his way, and not Roland's. I guess I am still hoping that Roland's hands-on style was borne out of anxiety at our league position, a lack of confidence in CP and the knowledge that he never planned to give the job long-term to Jose Riga. Maybe, just maybe, he will give his own choice of Head Coach the trust and freedom to do things his way. But, I concede with sadness, I do not say this with any degree of confidence.
Had never herd of Jose Riga before he turned up but his CV showed he had been at some top clubs---Belgium Bobs CV FFS managed the equivalent of Thamesmead FC !!!
We will sign 10 players who even the knowledgeable on here will have to check the depths of Wikip to find a reference of-----another awful shit season looms----with the usual bollox from Federal Europe Rd "we know best".
give us at least some hope get Morrison and Poyet signed up.
Sniping and digging at other fans is of course unproductive, but I am nevertheless absolutely shocked with how many people on here have wanted to override all evidence that Roland is a nasty interfering buffoon and back this hideous system we're part of.
The way things are done at CAFC are pretty plain. Yes we might finish slightly higher in the league pyramid over the coming seasons, but at what cost? The integrity and soul of the club for starters.
Of the 2014 out of contract players there were four identified by the majority on here as essential to keep. Two of those (admittedly those probably 3 and 4 in the pecking order for most) have now left the Club.
What money on the other two signing up and if they don't what confidence (or not) in Roland's regime?
Dyer has only confirmed what we pretty much already knew but It is still worrying none the less .
I just hope that when the new manager is appointed and he has a press conference that a few people let him know that the last two managers were forced to play the chairman's substandard players and to ask him if he has the strength to let the owner know who is picking the team.
from someone that's been vaguely disappointed in Dyer ever since i saw him score about 5 for us against Alma Swanley or Crockenhill in a pre-season friendly a million years ago and i told all my mates he was gonna be the Messiah the following season, I'm pleased he's come out and said this....we're in for a bumpy ride....downhill.....
The only way to salvage this situation is to invest all our spare cash in backing Charlton to go down and then pool our enormous winnings to buy the club. AFKA will be Chairman, Henry will be Director of Fashion and Curb_It & Riviera will will be Joint Directors of Procurement. (Real Ale)
so it turns out the people being "negative" weren't being "negative" at all,
THEY WERE BEING "RIGHT"
There we have it. I've been told some things about the Sheff Utd game too, really not ideal on us fans. How people are sticking a positive spin on this take over I have no idea, I've seen it all before. Dyer is a true professional, fair play to him for speaking out for his mate CP. Wish them both success at their next club(s).
We're heading the wrong direction now this is out in the public, who wants to sign for us..
can i be in charge of putting all Rolands resistors with the different colour bands into the right pots? Someone else can do the capacitors though, i never quite trusted them....

It's a great idea in principal, although unfortunately we're third favourites to go down so the odds aren't particularly generous. Seems the bookies don't think that Duchatelet's very good at running a football club either.
Not good reading that. But then I suppose it's not a great deal we didn't already know;

Agree it is significant, some of us have been arguing that it has been tittle tattle, rumours without substance, now that AD has explicitly without ambiguity come out with this statement then I think it moves even the most pro RD supporter back to the center and beyond.
I was whispered the reason Riga wasn't took on full time was related to team selections, look at the last game we played and won (won well), not a single network player.. RD can't have him having a soft spot for us, he needs to increase his assets, use his synergies blah blah blah. I didn't want to post a thing on here as i'd of been shot down instantly for being negative. I'm ever finding these things increasingly in likeliness true.
Sniping and digging at other fans is of course unproductive, but I am nevertheless absolutely shocked with how many people on here have wanted to override all evidence that Roland is a nasty interfering buffoon and back this hideous system we're part of.

Exactly this. As fans (there's a lot more of us than Roland and Katrien) we need to do something about this before we lose our club forever.
