Jeez. How depressing. And to think our club used to be held up as a model by which others were run.

    Exactly.
  • There is a big difference between the departure of Powell and of Dyer. Powell had his contract terminated and therefore probably received compensation for which he would have to have signed a compromise agreement which would have detailed what he could say about the club and visa versa. However, I guess, Dyer completed his contract and therefore is not tied into any legal agreement so can say what he likes.

As others have said there is no reason for Dyer not to tell the truth which makes it very worrying even for the most optimistic supporter, which I'm not.

Perhaps administration would have been the lesser of two evils.

If, as I had suggested at the outset, RD is Aspergic , then treating people as commodities was to be expected. He is an exceptional businessman in industries that only require advanced mathematical logic. My son is a brilliant example. Football is a game essentially about raw emotion. I remain of the opinion that RD will fail in football just as he did in politics. Thanks Alex, you may have opened some eyes, you are a star and I will miss you xx

  • Move on.

I hope you are going to "whoosh" me, but how do you expect anyone to move on when we've got the same chairman and the same set up?

After backing Roland all the way but now I am struggling to counter this piece from dyer
  • And this should be the time of year when we are all looking forward to new signings, the new season etc.

Very worrying to say the least. Anyone know what's happened to Muzza, the supporters "Voice in the Boardroom" or some such nonsense we were told he would be when roly took over.

He is busy working on the player loan arrangement we have with Liverpool as part of the Jonjo Shelvey sale.

Apparently there is a part 2 on Friday.

I posted without comment above , but I feel quite depressed by this . I gave Roland the benefit of the doubt about Powell V Riga partly because Jose's team selections did not favour the network , we played more attractive football and ultimately we stayed up relatively comfortably . I liked SCP and am glad his record is intact following our survival , but I could not say we would definitely have stayed up had he not been dismissed .

The subsequent events do concern me and Alex Dyer is the first insider to go on the record,so i do see this as significant.

I will support Bob Peeters and hope we acquire a good calibre of Belgian / network player this window because I am sure that is where our signings will be from. Regulars on here will know I normally enjoy the transfer speculation. This summer I suspect I will not have a clue about the players coming in and will be consulting the search engine on my sons's Football Manager game more often.
  • I will still wait until the season begins to see were we are then thankyou.
    Dyer shit footballer shit coach.

so it turns out the people being "negative" weren't being "negative" at all,
lm right im right der der der der der

    THEY WERE BEING "RIGHT"

  • The reason i use to renew my season tickets is because like many others i love the club and the game of football, at this moment in time i renew my season ticket because my son loves the club and the game of football , the people getting involved in football clubs dont give a toss anymore about us fans its all money to them and its worrying especially for a club like us and after all the hard work and passion the fans av put in .

  • Did they not already admit that the players they brought in were not good enough.
  • Not good reading that. But then I suppose it's not a great deal we didn't already know; Powell didn't pick the January signings and RD would have preferred his network players to play. What I'm far more interested in are the comments Dyer made about the reactions of some of the players to not being in the squad. What was it, 'you wouldn't know half the things with players that didn't want to play because they weren't in the squad'. I remember reading something about Koc not being sure why he was at Charlton and Thuram refusing to travel but I wonder if any of these reactions came from the likes of Piotr or Nego. If so then that's a lot of players causing disharmony. Add to that the fact that a good few decent players have left on free transfers it's worrying to think of the kind of players we might get in. If RD is telling them they'll play and Peeters' directive is to play them we might have a tough time of it. Still, we'll have to wait and see what we bring in.

I have to admit i am the same. I was hoping it was all specualtion, but as others have said what reason would Dyer have to not tell the truth. he has confirmed what others have said and i am now a little more worried about the coming season. i still think we will see a different calibre of players coming in compared to last season purely because of comments from Meitre about "under estimating the championship". I still don't think RD will do anything that puts his investment at huge risk, but it does prove people were correct that he picks the players who come in. He is wrong to tell players who are coming in "you will play" because if you are not good enough you shouldn't play.

A big way to get fans on side now is to sign up Poyet and Morrison.
  • Did they not already admit that the players they brought in were not good enough.

If they did, I have not seen it. Perhaps you have a link?

All I have heard is that Katrien apparently conceded that selling YK was a mistake. That does not mean RD agreed with her

A quote from Dyer in the SLP article 'Then it was'you should be playing him,you should be playing him'.We said no.One,them boys aren't good enough.you lose face with your squad anyway if you do that-they won't trust you'
