Wonder how mad we would all be going on at the ref (if the penalty had gone in) it seemed a very harsh (home side) penalty to me, could in another game easily be booked for diving imho.

How does it compare to the foul on Obika in the Leeds box, which the referee refused to give?
I can see why it was given, but thought the Leeds player was looking for it. I wouldn’t have been too happy had it been converted, but justice was done.
3 wins will probably be enough as long as we avoid defeat in the Yeovil and Barnsley home games.
Great display by the lads. Best game Jordan's had in right mid. Might be getting used to it. Poyet looks like his been playing for years. Love the short pass and move game Leeds players must have been getting pissed off 3 booked at lest could have easily been more. Like to see us playing like this with no threat of relagation. Adarevic looks class. Only down side got caught out with a couple of set pieces got to be switched on more. Hamer player of year for so far really stepped up since ankle injury coyr.
Indeed. I reckoned four wins after Forest and only Barnsley of the bottom three have a serious chance of getting 47 points in my view. Millwall and Yeovil would do very well to get 14/15 points from seven games.
Poyet left for dead early on there by McCormack, who is probably a mid to lower level Premier League player really. A lot to learn for Poyet if he is going to play at that level.
I suspect that the young man would heartily agree m8 but what an impact he's made in a matter of months. I bet his dad was very proud as he sat in the stands albeit he wouldn't had let on :-)
Some interesting stuff in those highlights. Wilson has become an extremely tidy defender. The way he shepherded the ball away from two players after McCormack hit the bar was superb. Also nice to see even McCormack congratulated Hamer on his save. Interesting to see Dervite getting some properly hefty shots on target. Seems to really enjoy hitting them against Leeds. Not quite sure how Jordan missed that one at the end though; maybe he just didn't want to end the 1-0 voodoo we have going on right now
Yes, I was thinking that we don't have any defenders that can produce thunderbolts like Talal or Brownie, so quite impressed by Dervite's 2 shots on goal!
I would've been happy with a point but to get all three....over the moon. Only downside was I got grief from the missus.
Missus: why are you smiling? Me : Charlton have won Missus: you think more of that football club than you do of me Me: I think more of Millwall than I do of you
I loved Morros reaction when Hamer saved the pen, almost like we had scored one!
Morro has been ever=present and I know he chucks in the odd bad game - but overall he has been a rock.
Hard to forget his animated gestures to Thuram after he did that ridiculous clearance at the Valley, and although many players may say they are hurting - I reckon when we lose, Morro really does hurt.
Don't quite love him to bits yet - but don't want to take the field without him.
despite all that has gone on it's great to see Jose, the coaches, and the players all pulling in the same direction. Nothing wrong with the team spirit either.
Phew ! Just finished reading all the posts & making a couple of comments along the way but, having recovered from THAT fantastic night ( just!) , Fanny's back. Even the detour around the North Circular due to the closure of M1/M25 junction & hence a 3.30am bedtime had no impact whatsoever on my mood. Thought about giving the slumbering Mr F a poke to " celebrate together" ( ie cuppa !) but decided against it....
What another brilliant win on the road !!!! I stated after the Cup biggy at Bramall Lane that I much prefer to be part of a small but perfectly formed away support & this was yet another example. Receiving a big hug from AddickUpNorth on the concourse after the match was indeed the icing on my cake ! Great to meet you at last, mate !
As always with my late posting, others have said it all & I think , for once, all 200+ of us in attendance, speak with one voice . Nervous first half with JP finding it tough but never giving up, Reza showing more than in all his previous appearances put together & some good movement off the ball from our lads. Leeds' fans very quiet apart from a section behind the goal who tried hard to lift their team. On the pitch, there was only one white shirt that didn't need lifting....RM - most of their play was directed to/through him & we did well to contain their leading goalscorer.
Half time loo break( worked at Forest!), lucky banana followed by humbugs & we were back in business... Decided a few minutes into the half that the red gloves might turn the tide and about to don them, RM cracked in a shot that nearly broke the crossbar ! Taking this as a positive sign, the gloves stayed on for the rest of the game( going to look pretty stupid with a T shirt in Blackpool though) Reza's fantastic strike came out of the blue but what a strike !!!! We went wild & the lads celebrated right in front of us. But had we scored too early ??? Nah ! We seemed to step up a gear whilst Leeds nearly fell apart a la Forest & the rest is history. Yes, Latimer is correct-I hold up my gloved mitts... I couldn't watch the pen but it worked. The final whistle heralded mass jubilation in our Stand and in front of us again - great to see Jose hugging Damian & Alex pitchside & there's truly no better sight than watching our victorious Reds celebrate a win away from home....except maybe seeing the huge smiles on the faces of the faithful as we exit stage left.
That's about it from me ( guess it's about time to get dressed...) except to say that Reza is a FAR better player than I previously thought ( what do I know ?), Dervite is fast becoming a favourite player of mine, Diego & Jordan are something REALLY special but last & not least, I salute Jose for the manner in which he has the lads playing and the way he has quietly but diligently got on with the job in hand. A couple of home wins between now & 4th May will surely win over the doubters & season ticket sales should gather momentum. It's been said before but if he's good enough to get his players on side , then he's good enough for me. There'll only be one gaffer but this Jose could well turn out to be OUR Special One.....
Why not come & meet him at the POTY dinner ? You know it makes sense !
Dullish 1st half defence stood firm when occasionally threatened. Astrit was class, someone questioned his fitness on the players marks thread? I agree he is not the quickest when fully fit but he's just got over the flu! Anyway it's not always about charging around like a nutter, his vision, range of passing, ability to find space and willingness to receive the ball makes him a cut above most players in this league. Poyet, Cousins and JJ went about their business in their usual fashion. Reza was meant to be wide left mid but seemed lost at times and did a lot of pointing rather than tackling in between some nice touches. Just as well Wiggins did not have a natural winger to deal with. Pigott showed no improvement for me on previous 1st team outings and lasted only 7 minutes into the 2nd half.
Obika's introduction seemed to give the team a lift with his pace and strength but why didn't he start? Having made two half hearted attempts at tackles near the half way line Reza popped up on the RIGHT hand side of the penalty area cut back onto his left foot and curled the most delicious left footer which had goal written all over it so all forgiven for past misdemeanours. Increased confidence was apparent and everyone wanted the ball, just as well with only an hour gone! Prior to the goal Hamer had made a fantastic finger tips save onto the bar from a McCormack blockbuster destined for the postage stamp but that was just for starters, main course still to come.
The boisterous posse of Leeds fans to our right, the equivalent I imagine of our new Block 'A' team, turned on their owners whilst the slow to get going away following finally found their true voice. For a neutral this was now a good game to watch with chances at both ends . Leeds forward put 2 chances over from close range whilst DD stung the keepers hands with a fierce free kick and JC had the opportunity of two one on one chances after lung busting runs which a natural finisher would have buried.
And then 5 mins injury time, why and for what? And 3 mins into it, penalty given. Cue Big Ben v Little Mac, surely the one man addicks demolition crew couldn't miss could he? He tried his damned hardest to score with a low powerful shot to the corner but the bearded one was having none of it and firmly pushed it away. He's Charlton's number one you know, and guess what he hates some other local team :0) Great save and justice was done but the next minute seemed like an eternity making the final whistle even sweeter. Well done last but not least to the back four well marshalled by the ever dependable Moro.
Thanks @redchaser. I wonder what the chances are of getting Astrit in on a permanent basis are?
Did Cameron Stewart get on?
On Astrit I really hope they are good but it all depends on the needs of the network I suppose or if a decent offer comes in for him that Roland can't refuse.
Cameron Stewart never got on otherwise he would have had the 'Charlton Reject' chant :-)

Total is 40% going into Reading.
If we beat Barnsley we stay up it's that simple
Come on don't let us down
