  • Absolutely brilliant. The games keep coming thick and fast, but we really have every chance now.
  • It's a momentum thing Stevie ;-)))
  • Got in about 11 pm after a pre-arranged night out with Mrs RM....straight to the match thread to see the result....absolutely brilliant....well done Charlton another huge 3 points and a giant step towards safety. Brilliant result!!! Get In!! See you all Saturday, Match thread from 2 pm.
  • We all hate Leeds scum , we all hate Leeds scum , we all hate Leeds scum , we all hate Leeds scum
Beautiful result against those norvern monkeys
The binary bores continue to grind on
Reza has that in his locker , just hope he can push on from this with us
Ben Hamer , took me from the depths of despair to a beautiful buzzing high
Well done to the 251 who made the trip , especially to those from down south , that's why you go to the other squillion games of dross defeats for sweet moments like that

65% Championship football returns for another season at The Vallley
35% A nightmare return to League One hell

  • Great result. Absolutely massive. The important thing is we're winning the games in hand (Forest and Leeds) so keeping our heads above water. Counting no chickens yet but we beat Yeovil and Barnsley and surely we'll be ok. Up The Addicks! Hats off to Reza, Hamer and Jose!

    Theatre tickets: £240

Getting mobile reception at East Finchley and finding out that Charlton have won at Leeds: Priceless

Did not even know there was a game on at the theatre of dreams. Seems you had good seats and bought a large round so had a few!

Sorry you missed the excitement of the thread, could have been worse, at least you were not at some boring old play.
  • Terrific result.

Seth_Plum, what's your % support of Riga now????
  • I really like Jose's style, and apparently a really nice fellow who actually gives time to the young players. I particularly like that when we go a goal up, we keep the pressure on instead of falling back to defend for our lives. I was watching BBC live commentary, and we seemed to have the upper hand in the second half apart from extra time. This team deserve a decent crowd on Saturday, and those of you who are still abstaining please come back, you know you want to.

  • Didnt think we'd get anything last night, would of taken a draw, but to win? big big yes
  • Well done lads, great result.

That match is a turning point, and has probably won Hamer POTY on a day when the other clown refused to get on the bus.

  • The wins at Leeds andForest have given us a real chance.Jose seems to be both calm and capable, the football is certainly better since he arrived. Also his understated manner after replacing a Charlton legend has hit exactly the right note.we know he has a squad of only limited ability but he is not afraid to change the team and make important substitutions. He has given us a real chance of survival and all credit to him.If it is true that Thuram refused to travel then he should be sent back immediately
  • Good time to have played Leeds and Forest, still well done to the team & manager for taking advantage of the situation, those six points will hopefully give us a springboard to start moving away from the drop zone.
  • £34 saved, great night missed. I stuck £20 of my saving on Leeds at 6/5. So we went on to win. Very happy with that little bit of emotional hedging!

To the 250 odd who'd go anywhere at any price, you all should be at the front of the queue next time we get to an FA cup quarter final in about 2020, ( but I reckon you are all ST holders anyway!)
  • I go to as many away games as I can afford but last night was so worth it. I like Jose too, calm and looks so cool. I love supporting Charlton.
  • Are the full highlights up yet anywhere?

Someone should have told him Charlton will always let you down.
  • The finger should be pointed at the leagues top goalscorer.

Not that bad a strike though, was it? Certainly not Michael Gray 1998. Ben called it right and then got down very very well. And it is not his first penalty save for us, is it?

Oh how good this feels today.

Good save. Good penalties are put where the keeper can't get to them. What side he goes should be irrelevant if the penalty is hit properly.

Just saying thats who i would be angry at not taking away from what was a good save.
  • How inconsiderate of your neighbour. Did he not know a very important football match had just concluded!
  • A point per game should be enough.

Terrific goalkeeping .. Solid and clever defending .. at last a coherent midfield .. Reza!! a wonderful 'continental' goal that has been getting ever closer game by game (in a few months after a hard close season to toughen up he is going to be a fantastic little striker in the Le Fondre mould) ... a fine win against a fallen and demoralised giant in a 1/2 empty stadium ... we are on the climb, Leeds United is no longer united and is on the decline
