Can people please stop bringing up tweets when he was younger, and playing for us, like u have never done something u regretted, he has left now can we stop trying to hang him out to dry,
the fact these old tweets keep getting brought up by charlton fans just makes us seem bitter

    that's actually v good!
  • Really cannot see any point in this whatsoever. Some of our idiot fans on twitter are embaressing, how is this going to make Diego feel?

The West Ham lads will probably have some banter about it and that will be it. All it is going to do is help Diego realise what a bunch of morons some of charltons fans are...

it's still funny though......and idiot fans on twitter isn't just reserved for us!!!, the place is full of them
It is funny, me and my work mate are laughing our heads off at the andy carroll one, but diego is only 19 and I just don't see the point of trying to ruin his west ham career before its even started (even though this wont) It's the sad fact it is most definitely a Charlton fan going back over two years ago to find a tweet and it is no doubt going to leave a sour taste in Diegos mouth about our fans.
  • Oh come on it's a bit of banter.
  • I'm sure he'll get over it !
  • Ok, yes it is funny but i just find the fact that one of our fans sat on twitter scrolling back over his tweets to find one to try and get him into trouble very sad and embarressing.
  • Little twat deserves all he gets. Also needs to learn how to spell ROOKIE...........
  • thing is I thought kids at acadamies were taught from a young age about being media savvy. seems Diego missed that lesson.

    oh lighten up FFS
I am not the only one that has said its wrong to bring it up, so why are u quoting what I wrote why are you not quoting Nomadicaddick who has said practically the exact same thing as me

Cos i didn't see his post.
  • Do West Ham fans even have Twitter? Unless it can be hit with a pint glass or be the subject of a Holocaust joke then they won't be interested.
  • Look, if Poyet wants to be a dick then he has to face the consequences. He was lapping up the attention on Twitter not so long ago. Anyway, we've got Cousins and Bueyns now anyway.
  • Ahh, crap, I thought we'd at last sunk this thread about that little shit.
  • He's not going to prison for it. It is Bamter, probably got ribbed about it weeks ago, probably on his first training session, think he's become good pals with Andy Carroll since.
    No harm done

  • He's pissed us off, pissed WHU players off and also i see he's given Arsenal a bit of stick.

Best give Daniel Levy a ring Diego.

Not sure if this has been raised before, but the reason he did not re-sign with Charlton was that he was told that if he did, he would be shipped out to Standard Liege and "forced" to play there for a year. Given that option, he decided to leave. We have a good replacement in Buyens, so it should not impact our season too much...

That was a rumour and we have no evidence whatsoever of it.
  • Much more likely IMO that he was offered the chance to go.
"hey Diego, if you really don't want to stay in the championship how about playing in the Champions League with Liege next season" and so at least kept in the network.

But anyway, who wants to keep covering old ground eh.
  • Diego at training tomorrow :
